Morgan Jones: Gorffwys mewn heddwch – Rest in Peace

The football was secondary on Saturday as players, officials, management and supporters at grounds across North Wales observed a minute’s silence in honour of Morgan Jones, the CPD Llannefydd striker, who sadly passed away last week.

The mood was particularly sombre at Mynydd Isa, where the home club faced Llannefydd in an Ardal North West match.

Mynydd Isa published on social media: “The game was played in a great spirit that I’m sure he would have been proud of. We send our heartfelt condolences to his teammates, friends and family. RIP 💛💙”

Morgan Rees Jones, 23, was a much-loved and highly-respected player who had also represented CPD Caer Clwyd and CPD Henllan in recent seasons.

CPD Llannefydd left the following message on their social media page: “Rydym yn hynod drist i rannu’r newyddion torcalonnus fod ymosodwr CPD Llannefydd, Morgan Jones, wedi colli ei fywyd yn drasig wythnos diwethaf, yn 23 oed.

Roedd Morgan yn gyd-chwaraewr gwerthfawr ac yn aelod annwyl iawn o’n clwb. Mae ein meddyliau gyda’i deulu, ei ffrindiau a phawb oedd yn ei adnabod.
