Ynys Môn star Casi on the mark for club Cheltenham Town

North Wales star Casi Evans scored a spectacular goal for her club Cheltenham Town in their latest FA Women’s National League Southern Premier game at the weekend.
The 18-year-old defender-midfielder from Anglesey, who joined the Tier 3 English pyramid club in July 2025, netted with a 40-yard lob in The Robinesses match against Real Bedford on Sunday.
Unfortunately, Town lost 5-1, but still remain handily-placed in fifth spot. AFC Bournemouth lead the division from Watford with Plymouth Argyle lying third.
It was a second goal of the season for the versatile Evans who joined the Gloucestershire club from both Blackburn Rovers and Halifax Town Women, where she was dual-signed last season.
Amlwch girl Casi, who played for Everton and FAW Academy North prior to being on dual registration for Blackburn and Halifax, represented Wales up to under-17 level, featuring at the 2022 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship, before stepping up to the Under-19 side which competed at the UEFA European Women’s U19 Championship against Serbia, Republic of Ireland and France. She has won 38 international caps in all.
A former pupil of Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones, Amlwch, Casi played for Caernarfon Town Under-15s before progressing to the FAW Academy North at U16 and U17 levels.

She was a star performer for Ynys Môn at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney, finishing top-scorer with four goals, including a hat-trick in the thrashing of Jersey. Anglesey finished in fifth place in the tournament.
Casi’s dad David Evans was a Watford apprentice and had a pro contract for a year. He also won the FA Youth Cup with Watford and has a Wales youth cap for U18’s.
Whilst he was with Bangor City they won the League of Wales in 1993-94 and he also played in Europe against Akranes of Iceland. He also received a Welsh non league cap at Bangor.
David has also played for Porthmadog, Glantraeth, Llanfairpwll and Amlwch Town.
Casi’s taid Vivian was a captain for Anglesey schoolboys and represented Wales Under-15’s. He had trials for Nottingham Forest and Blackpool and was offered to go to Cardiff. He played for Bangor at 16 and then returned to Amlwch to play.
Her brothers Cian Evans and Caio Evans have been capped for Welsh Schools and Colleges.
