NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – REPORTS JANUARY 3, 2026

PREMIER DIVISION

Llandudno Amateurs 4 Conwy Borough Swifts 0

With the Premier top three either failing to win or not playing on Saturday, four clubs below took the opportunity to close the gap.
One of them was Llandudno Amateurs, who now sit fourth in the standings after a convincing 4-0 success over Conwy Borough Swifts at the Go Goodwins Stadium.
After a very even first half. which ended goalless, Amateurs, with a few tweaks during the break, dominated proceedings following the restart.
It still took a while to make the breakthrough, but after Amateurs took a 73rd minute lead courtesy of an excellent finish from Lee Thomas, they never looked back, always on the front foot and looking dangerous every time they had the ball.
The hosts added another three excellent goals with Lee Thomas completing a double to make it 13 for the season, Morgan Thomas applying a fantastic first time finish and Joe Jones adding a superb individual effort to cap off a tremendous second half.

Glan Conwy 2 Kinmel Bay 5

Undefeated Kinmel Bay have struggled in the past to get results at Glan Conwy but on Saturday they eventually found the solution to overcome a nonetheless resilient and hard-working home side.
Connor Morris gave the visitors a third-minute lead from a Ryan Roberts assist, but in no time Glan were level through a Franky Gughrill strike.
Harrison McQueen then edged the hosts in front on 24 minutes, Mezz Knight with the assist, but Roberts hit back after 31, Charlie Jones supplying the chance.
Kinmel bagged two early goals in the second half to set them up for victory.
Morris nabbed his second to make it 14 goals this term, then with 50 gone Sean Sheridan found the net, Mathew Beach setting him up.
Sheridan scored again on 71 to reach 10 goals for the campaign, Morris this time in the assieter’s role.
Glan remain bottom having lost all 14 matches so far, but their excellent first half performance certainly suggested a few points will be coming their way soon.

Mochdre Sports 3 CPD Cerrigydrudion 3

Second-place Mochdre missed a chance to close to within a point of leaders Llansannan when they were held by Cerrig at Swan Road.
Aidan Roberts put Sports one-up after 17 minutes, but a Tirion Griffiths pair, including a penalty, gave the visitors the upper hand at half time.
By the hour, Mochdre were back in front at 3-2, Charles Lloyd and Niall Owen on the mark, but Cerrig persisted and equalised on 82 courtesy of an Owain Jones penalty.

Rhos United 0 Llanfairfechan Town 3

Elliot Croston, Harry Croston and sub Osian Roberts provided the goals which earned Llanfairfechan three points at Betws-yn-Rhos.

CPD Y Glannau 7 Llandudno Junction 2

A sixth straight league win for a rampant Glannau over a Junction outfit which had not lost in their previous six outings.
Harrison Bellis and Dan Price both produced hat-tricks for the hosts.
Bellis made it 17 goals in his last nine matches, while Price notched his first treble for the club.
Josh MacGillivray also made the scoresheet for the St Asaph hosts, Tomos Rhys-Williams and Dave Maddock with consolations for the derailed Railwaymen.
This was Junction’s heaviest defeat since they were whipped 8-1 by CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in the 2021-22 NWCFA Intermediate Challenge Cup.
