ARDAL NORTH EAST: Leaders drop points, eight-goal cracker at Penycae

ARDAL NORTH EAST – REPORTS NOVEMBER 8

Llanuwchllyn 1 Llandrindod Wells 1

Llanuwchllyn retain a healthy six-point lead at the Ardal North East summit despite being held to a draw at home by Llandrindod Wells last Saturday.
The visitors took a 26th minute lead through a Jack Evans penalty, but close to the hour Dale Davies made it 1-1 with his 10th goal of the season, Ilan Hughes assisting.

Penycae 4 Dolgellau Athletic 4

An eight-goal thriller at Afoneitha ended all-square.
Dolgellau led 3-2 at half time, Gerwyn Williams (2) and Guto Pugh their marksmen, Ben Buley and Thomas Edwards (penalty) replying for the hosts.
No further goals until the final eight minutes. Toby Nash made it 3-3 on 82, Williams completed a hat-trick for Dolgellau after 85, but sub Ben Williams bagged a late Penycae leveller on 88.

Builth Wells 3 Lex XI 0

After a goalless first half, Builth struck three times in eight minutes to clinch the points, Harry Edwards, captain Chris Roff and Chris Bartholomew sharing the net-finders.

Cefn Albion 1 Knighton Town 3

Disappointment for Cefn as visitors Knighton recovered from an early setback to take the spoils at The Muga, captain Luke Boundford with all three goals for the visitors after 11, 57 and 87, Thomas Broadhurst having fired Cefn into the lead on seven.

Kerry 3 Corwen 2

Luke Mumford struck twice in added time to win a dramatic encounter for Kerry.
Henry Evans handed the visitors a fourth-minute lead, then a George Clarke own goal made it 2-0 to Corwen on 27 before skipper Barry Bellis replied for the Lambs after 31.
The visitors looked set to grab the points until Mumford found the net on 90 and 96 minutes.

Llanfair United 1 Bow Street 4

Good result on the road for Bow, Steff Davies, Taylor Watts and captain Rhys Hughes with one each, while home skipper Jack Jones also put through his own goal, Tomos Jones with a consolation for Llanfair.

Llangollen Town 0 Llanrhaeadr 3

Billy Clarke (2) and Will Howard delivered the decisive goals for winning visitors Llanrhaeadr.
Llangollen’s William Cooke was shown a straight red on 77 before Iwan Hardy received a second yellow after the final whistle.

CPD Rhos Aelwyd 1 Radnor Valley 1

Ieuan Price’s 12th minute penalty put Radnor ahead at Ponciau, but James Rumsey levelled on 42 and one-each is how it finished.
