ADRAN PREMIER – NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Wrexham 2 (Barker 18, Knox 81)

Revenge was sweet as Wrexham defeated the only side to beat them in the Adran Premier this season.

Back in September, the Red Dragons went down 4-2 at Park Hall, but the pride of North Wales made it five games without loss with a 2-0 success over the green and whites at The Globe, Buckley, on Sunday afternoon.

The deadlock was broken on 16 minutes when Lili Jones threaded a great pass from midfield into the path of Katie Barker, who applied the coolest of finishes for her sixth goal in five games.

And the points were sealed when new signing, substitute Faye Knox, doubled the lead on 81 minutes.

Barker worked wonders to win the ball on the left, race into the box and square to Ava Suckley whose shot was blocked but ex-Blackburn and Bolton midfielder Knox was following up to drill powerfully past keeper Mackenzie Haydn-Jones.

Both teams went close on other occasions, Caitlin Chapman and Kay Baker rattling the crossbar for TNS, while Mariam Mahmood was denied by a great Haydn-Jones save before striking the upright for the hosts.

Wrexham remain second in the table, level on points with Cardiff City, who head the standings on goal difference.
