Captain Osian Hughes’ 89th minute penalty settled a nine-goal thriller at Parc Meurig in Bethesda’s favour.
This all-Ardal North West tie saw Pesda establish a two-goal lead through Osian Hughes and Daniel Hughes after nine and 26 minutes respectively, Sion Bullock and Louis Turner with the assists.
Bay came roaring back through a Christoph Aziamale penalty on 32 and a Liam Armstrong leveller after 37.
However, a minute before the break Athletic were back in front, Daniel Hughes with his second, this time Tomos Hughes the supplier.
The score remained 3-2 until the 75th minute when Aziamale notched Trearddur’s third.
Corey Lundstram edged the Ogwen Valley hosts ahead again on 80, but Aziamale set up Armstrong for his brace on 82.
Four-apiece and penalties looming – would there be a winner?
The answer was yes and Osian Hughes delivered it from the spot with a minute of normal time left – his 13th goal of the season.

It’s another for Felinheli

This has to rank as one of Felinheli’s finest results and performances of recent seasons.
Hosts Albion, second in Ardal North East, were favourites to overcome their opponents, 11th in Ardal North West, but the visitors totally ripped up the script.
Aled Hughes handed Felin a fifth-minute lead and Gruff John doubled the away advantage with a second on 18.
No further goals before the break, but when Cefn captain Nic Jones pulled a goal back in the 54th minute, the pendulum looked to be swinging in favour of the Wrexham side.
Not a bit of it. Young star Byron Davis notched his 12th and 13th goals of the season after 60 and 75 and in between, captain Aled Griffith also scored for the Cae Seilo heroes.

Connah’s Quay Town 1 Four Crosses 2

Tier 4 Central Wales League North strugglers Four Crosses caused one of the surprises of the day by winning at third-tier hosts Connah’s Quay Town.
Isaac Dawson and Robert Weir put the underdogs two-up before Jonny Taylor replied with an 86th minute penalty, but the Foxen Manor boys went through.

Conwy advanced pn penalties after a close-fought tie at Y Morfa Stadium.
James Lansdowne’s assist enabled Frankie Montgomery to hand Boro a ninth-minute lead, but early in the second half, the North Wales Coast West Premier Division visitors equalised through Dylan Griffith.
No further goals so it came down to spot-kicks, Lansdowne, Montgomery, Jacob Guy and Ethan Hill all converting for Conwy, while Boded missed twice, ensuring the hosts won the contest 4-2.

James Hay notched Kinmel Bay’s second goal

Superb result for Tier 4 knockout stars Kinmel Bay against strong opponents in Menai Bridge of the North Wales Coast West Premier.
Josh Williams broke the deadlock with a neat close-range finish in the 26th minute of this round two clash played at Roe Plas Meadows, St Asaph, Connor Morris supplying the assist.
A minute into the second half, midfield veteran James Hay made it two with a bullet header, defender Liam Jones’ free kick from his own half this time creatng the goal.

Llanfair United 3 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 3 (Penrhyndeudraeth won 3-2 on pens)

Hat-trick hero Cian Pritchard

A notable giant-killing for Penrhyndeudraeth, the Tier 4 visitors prevailing on penalties at third-tier Ardal North East hosts Llanfair United.
Just two players scored in the match itself – Josh Astley with a hat-trick for the Powys team and Cian Pritchard landing a treble for the North Wale Coast West Premier side, putting him on 14 goals for the campaign.
Despite Penrhyn having two penatties saved in the shoot out, the Cockles keeper Iwan Davies kept out three, ensuring a 4-2 win on spot-kicks.

Llangefni Town 5 Chirk AAA 0

Cefni went nap to gain revenge for their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chirk in the 2016-17 semi-final of this national competition.
There was no stopping the Ardal North West high-flyers at Cae Bob Parry, Osian Jones, Ifan Mansoor and Dion Jones all on target in the first half.
Mansoor made it four on 47 minutes and Dion Jones’ 12th goal of the season after 70 well and truly killed the contest.

CPD Llannefydd 3 CPD Cerrigydrudion 1

Llion Morris, Morgan Jones and sub Guto Owen provided the goals which ensured safe passage to the next round for hosts Llannefydd.
Lower division Cerrig battled hard and replied with a deserved consolation goal courtesy of a Tirion Griffiths penalty on 62 minutes with the score at 2-0.
Owen’s 74th minute net-finder cemented the result.
