A fantastic advert for ladies’ football was on display at Argoed on Monday night as two teams played their opening games of the season in the North East Wales Development League.
Mynydd Isa made a strong start and took the lead early on through Sarah Kirkham.
What followed was a hard-fought and evenly contested battle, with both sides creating chances right until the final whistle.
The game was played in great spirit, with fair play shown throughout and plenty of excitement at both ends.
A brilliant crowd turned out in support, helping to create a superb atmosphere for what was a fantastic game of football for all involved.
