JD CYMRU NORTH – TABLE AND REPORTS SEPTEMBER 5-6

Caersws 1 Holywell Town 3

Six wins out of six for leaders Holywell whose victory at Caersws included another goal from Jamie Breese, who has now netted 51 times in 63 games for the club he joined in January 2024.

Breese reached the half-ton for the Wellmen by scoring twice in the previous weekend’s 2-0 Welsh Blood Service League Cup win over Penrhyncoch. The 33-year-old former Caernarfon Town and Newtown frontman is now on seven goals for the current season.

It was Breese who struck first for Holywell at the Recreation Ground on Saturday, great work from Jack Sconce giving the 50-goal star the opportunity to control and fire home from an acute angle.

Ilan Ap Gareth forced Caersws keeper Max Williams into a great save before the hosts levelled on 24 courtesy of a Ryan Austin own goal.

Although Town continued to create chances, they were unable to regain the lead before half time.

Six minutes into the second half, Johnny Haseldin’s men were back in front.

Good work from Breese down the left saw him cross to the far post and Craig Lindfield was there to find the net.

The visitors almost added a third when Danny Sullivan met a 75th minute corner, but Williams was able to palm the ball onto the bar and over.

Holywell needed that third goal to wrap the game up and Lindfield clipped the post before in added time Breese broke from a Caersws corner and set up Zak Kempster-Down to make it 3-1 to the leaders.

Flint Mountain 0 Brickfield Rangers 2

Andrew Ruscoe resigned as Flint Mountain manager after his team suffered their fifth defeat in six games to remain bottom of the table.

Goals from Matty Williams after 14 minutes and Jardel Lima deep into stoppage time sealed a solid 2-0 victory for Bricky at Bastion Gardens.

Guilsfield 1 Airbus UK Broughton 4

Three second half goals clinched a victory for second-place Airbus after hosts Guilsfield had taken an early lead at Clos Mytton.

Iwan Matthews edged the hosts ahead after eight minutes with a back post finish from a James Smallwood assist.

George Peers had an effort cleared off the line for the visitors before the Wingmakers levelled in first half stoppage time, Blaine Hudson volleying home from a Mason Blackwell-Jones free kick.

Mark Allen’s side upped their game after the interval and took the lead on 56 minutes.

A long punt from keeper Keighan Jones was brilliantly controlled by Kaiden Cooke, who rounded keeper Luke Evans before slotting home.

Things got worse for Guils on 66 minutes when they had captain Jake Cook dismissed for a second yellow card.

Peers set up Danny Warren to make it 3-1 before the Broughton boys added a fourth on 83 minutes.

This time Peers made no mistake in collecting his ninth goal of the campaign.

Guilsfield also had manager Gavin Allen red-carded before the end.

Holyhead Hotspur 1 Penrhyncoch 1

Hotspur are still without a win and sit next-to-bottom after being held by Penrhyncoch at the New Stadium.

Zac Davies edged the Roosters in front during first half stoppage time before Callum Graves made it all-square again in the 62nd minute.

Llandudno 2 Newtown 0

Unbeaten in six matches. Llandudno maintained their remarkable record of not having conceded a league goal this season in Saturday’s revenge triumph over Newtown.

Having lost on penalties to the Robins at Go Goodwins Stadium seven days earlier in the WBS League Cup, Tudno put the record straight with a win sealed by goals from Harvey Bennett and Thomas Stephens.

Denbigh Town 1 Buckley Town 1

Denbigh’s long-awaited return to a revamped Central Park after a five-month absence did not quite go to plan as they had to settle for a draw with Buckley on Friday night.

Nicholas Grogan gave the visitors a 27th minute lead, benefiting from a Luke Mariette assist before Nathan Brown equalised in first half stoppage time with his seventh goal of 2025-26.

Gresford Athletic 1 Mold Alexandra 0

Jake Roberts’ 81st minute goal earned Gresford a welcome three points at Mold’s expense at the Hollingswirth Group Stadium on Friday evening.

Ruthin Town 0 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 0

Goalkeepers were on top in this game of two halves on Friday at the Memorial Playing Fields.

The Lilywhites dominated the first 45, but found home glovesman Dan Goldston impossible to beat.

It was the same scenario in the second period, but this time it was away stopper Alex Swindell who produced some great saves to secure Paul Moore’s side a hard-earned point.
