Sagar Trivedi struck his first century for a Colwyn Bay side which boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop with a 63-run win over Wigan at Penrhyn Avenue.
Indian all-rounder Trivedi, who joined the Bay from Bootle last month, scored 103 off just 79 balls, hitting NINE sixes and five fours as the hosts were bowled out for 184 in 49.2 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Aveen Dalugoda pocketed 5-29 for Wigan, who ended up all back in the pavilion for 121.
Dulanjala Mendis scooped his second five-wicket haul of the season for Bay, taking 5-46, Matt Russell grabbed 3-61 and Trivedi an excellent 2-14 off eight tight overs.
Matthew Jones finished 99 not out as Northop Hall set a formidable winning total in Saturday’s North Wales derby at Beach Close.
Jones hit 19 fours in his fine effort, while James Hurlin added 61, Ashley Jones picking up 2-60 off 17 for the hosts.
Hurlin completed a great match with 4-15 off 10.1 overs as Prestatyn nosedived to 97 all out, Rhys Jones best with 30.
Paul Jenkins picked up 4-47 off 20 and Carwyn Johnson poached 2-26, Hall taking the points 25-3 to maintain second-place in the Second Division.
Bay seconds stayed well on course for promotion following a six-wicket derby triumph at Smithy Lane.
Shay Williams snared 3-18, James Jones 3-41, Sam Roberts 2-18 and Samuel Costley 2-22 as Northop seconds were dismissed for 114 after deciding to bat.
Second-place Bay then cruised to 118-4 off 22.1, Costley 64 not out off 49 balls for the visitors, hitting 13 fours, while Sion Hellen took 3-50 for the hosts.
Prestatyn won the toss and put Caldy into bat, restricting them to 188-9 declared off 45 overs, Jake Jones taking 4-30 and Steven Edwards a very economical 2-13 off 10.
Despite an excellent 52 from opener Jake Jones, the visitors were sent packing for 112, Stephen Redfern an eye-catching 6-18 for the home side.
