DIVISION TWO

Llanrwst (1) 99-10 Abergele (14) 87-2 (revised target)
Abergele ran out comfortable eight-wicket winners at Parc Gwydir.
Llanrwst elected to bat and were bowled out for just 99, Gele’s Sanjo Kuttan 2-10 off seven overs, Ranjith Thozhuthingal and Edward Rooney both 2-22.
Set 87 to win off a reduced 33 overs, the visitors got home in 19.1 for the loss of two wickets, captain Lewis Toland (37 not out) and Karl Higgins (25 no) putting on an unbroken 50 stand.
Menai Bridge 2nd XI (2) 182-10 Corwen (13) 233-10
Extras top-scored with 53 as Corwen set a formidable 233 all out at Tyn-y-Caeau, Harry Pooler 50 and Jordan Williams 40, with Sean Morris claiming 4-28 and Andrew Wannop 3-21 for the hosts.
Bridge were bowled out for 182, Matt Bixby 54 and Ian Grainger 30, captain William Pooler 4-27 and Caleb Dyke 2-16 for the victors.
Pwllheli (11) 183-10 Marchwiel and Wrexham (4) 182-6
A thriller at Parc Bodegroes saw Pwllheli triumph by one run.
Craig Edwards (49) and skipper Ioan Jones (48) were the home side’s main contributors in a total of 183 all out, Phil Oddie 3-41 and Scott Lawrenson 3-55 for the visitors.
Despite an heroic 76 not out from Chris Woodcock, Marchwiel and Wrexham’s reply finished two short of victory on 182-6, opener Gareth Evans adding 40, while Mohsin Khan picked up 3-27 for the hosts.
Ruthin (0) 67-10 Buckley (15) 69-0
Relegation-threatened Ruthin were dismissed for just 67 by table-toppers Buckley, Adam Shaw taking 2-9, Matthew Blunden and Abbey Mayers both 2-16.
Rocco Franco (36 not out) and Jack Gibson (24 no) ensured the visitors eased to 69-0 off just 8.1 overs in response.
St Asaph 2nd XI (15) 287-4 Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (0) 130-10
Fourteen-year-old Ankush Upadhyaya scored a maiden hundred for St Asaph seconds in last Saturday’s thrashing of Pontblyddyn seconds at Elwy Grove Park.
Upadhyaya, who has captained North Wales Under-15s, struck 15 fours and a six in his 116-ball 121, putting on 187 for the first wicket with Elliot Goddard, who also made a senior career best 61.
Captain Andy Mearns finished 32 not out as Saints posted a massive 287-4 off 40 overs.
Pont were bowled out for 130, Nick Thomas 38, Upadhyaya completing a memotable match with 3-20, Russell Moore 2-11 and Roger Cloete 2-13.
Sunday 10 August
Llay Welfare (4) 138-10 Carmel & District (11) 150-10
Amer Jamil’s 5-27 went a long way to helping Carmel achieve a narrow 12-run victory at Dodelston Cricket Ground on Sunday.
The visitors chose to bat first and were all removed for 150, Oliver Saynor 36, Jagath Magulagama 34 and Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka 31.
Jack Honey took 4-31 and Dylan Honey 2-28 for Llay, who could only manage 138 all out in response, Jack Edwards (53) and skipper Tom Parry (46) the only double-figure makers but both dismissed by match-winner Jamil.
DIVISION THREE

Abergele 2nd XI (2) 203-8 Conwy 2nd XI (13) 205-4

Abergele seconds’ David Holmes scored a ton, but it was Conwy seconds who won the match at Pentre Mawr Park.
Put into bat, Gele chalked up 203-8 off 40 overs, Holmes notching 100 not out off 79 balls, hitting 18 fours and a six with a strike rate of 126.58.
Arun Arikkat added 43, while Callum Davies scooped 3-16 and Gareth Thomas 3-38 for the visitors,
In reply, Conwy got to 205-4 off 38.5, Ben Callow 84 not out, Carwyn Thomas 53.
Bersham (12) 179-9 Denbigh 2nd XI (3) 135-10
A rare defeat for Division Three long-time leaders Denbigh seconds.
Invited to bat, Bersham set 179-9 off 40, Vipin Shylajan 39, Aneesh Pattali 32 and Jojo Thomas 30, Sam Kitching 3-31, Finlay Rooke-Hart 2-21 and David Kitching 2-28 for the visitors.
Pattali then snared 4-11 and Santhu Kj 3-34 as Denbigh were sent packing for 135, Rooke-Hart 37.
Bethesda 2nd XI (11) 165-7 Clwb Criced Caernarfon (4) 157-5
A close contest at Parc Villa saw Bethesda seconds make 165-7, Jez Shea 61, Roddy Denton 2-22 and Monis Altaf 2-32 for Caernarfon, who were then restricted to 157-5, Chris Moody 62 and Jakarin Raza 47 not out.
Buckley 2nd XI (12) 227-6 Gresford 2nd XI (3) 182-10
Samuel Jones (63), Sam Evans (40), Mathew Edge (33) and Gary Mayers (30) all played key roles as Buckley seconds set a winning 227-6, Gez Jones 2-35 for Gresford seconds, who despite Cameron Murdoch’s 72 and 41 from Will Owen were all out for 182, Alyn Evans 3-18, Alfie McManus 2-22 and Holly Mayers 2-24.
Hawarden Park 2nd XI (13) 128-5 Gwersyllt Park 2nd XI 2) 125-9
Robert Goodwin (3-26), Craig Wilson (2-13), Maahir Bhardwaj (2-24) and Matthew Gentry (2-25) helped Hawarden restrict Gwersyllt Park to a modest 125-9 before the hosts hit back with 128-5, Owen Williams 50 not out and Chris Brooks 42, Ted Pearson and Ben Griffiths both bagging 2-18 for the losing side.
Mold 2nd XI (11) 266-5 Llandudno 2nd XI (4) 246-4
Batters were on top in a high-scoring encounter where Mold seconds triumphed by 20 runs.
George Jones (88), Craig Roberts and David Graham (38 apiece), Daniel Williams (36) and Henry Roberts (31 no) all played their part in the hosts amassing 266-5, Luke Marriot 2-21 and Mike Gwynne 2-38 for Tudno.
In reply, Tudno finished on 246-4, skipper David Barlow 99 not out, Ajay Dhawan 91.
DIVISION FOUR

Brymbo 3rd XI (15) 257-3 Clwb Criced Y Bala (0) 92-8
Captain Charlie Croasdale (118 not out) and Anthony Savage (44) put on 127 for the first wicket as Brymbo thirds compiled a massive 257-3 off 40 overs, Jack White 2-37 for Bala, who were limited to 92-8, Dan Williams 41, Aled Edwards 3-10 and Terry Jones 2-10 for the Steelmen.
Carmel & District 2nd XI (15) Llanrwst 2nd XI (-15) – Llanrwst conceded
Connah’s Quay 2nd XI (15) Ruthin 2nd XI (-15) – Ruthin conceded
Halkyn CC- 2nd XI (13) 104-4 Hawarden Park 3rd XI (2) 103-8
Callum Ferguson took 3-15 and Ryan Ferguson 3-23 as Halkyn seconds kept Hawarden thirds down to 103-8.
Callum Ferguson then made 41 not out in Halkyn’s winning score of 104-4.
Marchwiel and Wrexham 2nd XI (15) 255-6 Dolgellau 2nd XI (0) 93-10
Number seven bat Zahid Sharif struck 20 fours and four sixes in his mighty knock of 130 as Marchwiel and Wrexham seconds piled up 255-6 off their 40 overs.
It was a maiden ton and career best for Sharif, Michael Forgrave adding 40 in the home side’s onsalught.
Dyfan Hughes notched 2-23 for Dolgellau, who were bowled out for 93, Paul Baines 3-25, Ed Greening 2-3 and Mike Lee 2-14 for the hosts.
Mynydd Isa & Maeshafn (1) 149-10 Bersham 2nd XI (14) 150-3
Mynydd Isa and Maeshafn lost further ground in the Division Four title race as they were thrashed at home by second-place Bersham seconds.
The hosts were all back in the pavilion for 149, Deepak Loguchetty Deenadayalu 35, Kiran Viswambharan 4-32, Shins Varghese 2-19 and Thushardath Ep 2-34 for Bersham, who cruised to 150-3 off 30.3, Bibin Sunny 38 not out and Jijin Joseph 30 no.
