Here are 12 players to watch in 2025-26 – it’s the Grassroots North Wales Dynamic Dozen!

At the start of every season Grassroots North Wales picks its Dynamic Dozen – 12 male players we expect to shine in the nine months ahead.
They can be chosen from any league, be of any age and play in any position. The emphasis is often on younger players tipped to make a breakthrough, but anyone we believe could make an impact can be included.
This season we’ve asked our followers to play more of a part in the selection process by suggesting their potential stars of 2025-26, so some of their choices are in the 12 as well as our own.
Byron Davis (CPD Y Felinheli)

Seventeen-year-old striker has made a sensational start to his senior career with four goals in his opening two matches for tier 3 Ardal North West club CPD Y Felinheli.
Byron netted a hat-trick in the 7-1 FAW Amateur Trophy win against Lex XI and was on target in a 4-1 Welsh Cup defeat at Trearddur Bay.

Little wonder Bangor City 1876 wanted to get this hard-tackling defender on their books for the challenging season ahead in Ardal North West.
This fearless backline operator, who can also do a job in midfield, has started well for his new club, scoring a long range stunner in Friday’s FAW Amateur Trophy win over Blue Bridge.

Luke McGuinness (Blue Bridge)

Great goalkeeping prospect aged just 18 who is developing his talents in tier 5 with a Blue Bridge side formed last season.
Superb shot stopper, which he proved in a magnificent performance in Bridge’s defeat to CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 in the FAW Amateur Trophy on August 1.
Previously played for NFA Under-23s and turned out for the first team, having previously shone for Prestatyn Athletic Raptors and Holywell Town Under-16s.
Will Edwards (Mochdre Sports)

Mochdre are really excited to have this natural goalscorer on board.

Leo Latter (CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Has looked a class act in a right-back role for CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in the early days of the 2025-26 campaign.
When he joined the Lilywhites, he was described as a commanding centre back, but he shapes up like he could play anywhere across the defence.
Experience at Port Vale, Sandbach United and Harrogate Town will no doubt stand him in good stead, Just 19, lots to offer.
Tom Freeman (Chirk AAA)

This feature is not all about youngsters – we also like to focus on interesting signings, players who you can pretty much rely on to make an impact wherever they go.
Fantastic news for Chirk AAA is the return of their 2024-25 Player of the Season, free-scoring Tom Freeman.
The Colliers’ top scorer last season with 21 goals, the 30-year-old ended the campaign helping Brickfield Rangers win the Ardal NorthEast title and promotion to Tier 2.
Although Chirk have been relegated to Tier 4, Freeman has decided Holyhead Road is the place for him this term. He scored in the season’s opener, a 1-1 Welsh Cup draw with Kinmel Bay which the AAA’s eventually lost on penalties.
Dion Jones (Llangefni Town)

This amazing 18-year-old talent will score goals wherever he plays.
