Llay Welfare (1) 109-7 Buckley 72-3 (14)

Buckley picked up a 26-points bonanza at the weekend to move 10 clear at the Division Two summit.
On Sunday, the Flintshire side travelled to Dodleston Cricket Ground, where they put hosts Llay Welfare into bat and restricted them to 109-7 off 40 overs, opener Jacob Roberts making 31 before Huw Jones hit 27 not out, Joe Hogg taking 2-14 and Matthew Edge 2-24 for Bucks.
With rain intervening, the visitors were given a revised target of 70 off 20 overs.
They responded 72-3 from 16, Harri Weigh 32, to seal a 14-1 victory,

Saturday, July 19

Buckley (12) 65-7 Corwen (3) 64-10

Saturday saw Buckley beat long-time Division Two leaders Corwen by three wickets in a low-scoring thriller at Lane End.
Abbey Mayers snapped up 3-17, Adam Shaw 2-2, Louis Parry 2-11 and Ollie Fellows 2-22 as the visitors were blown away for just 64 in 26.5 overs after being asked to bat.
In reply, the hosts lost several batsmen cheaply, but managed to get home on 65-7 off 17.3, Chris Geary (17) and Carl Juston (15) producing priceless runs in the circumstances, Jordan Williams collecting 3-17 and William Pooler 2-25 for Corwen.

Carmel & District (14) 172-7 Abergele (1) 92-10

Ryan Roberts (54) and Maneesha Ayomal Nissanka (43) came up with crucial knocks which ensured Carmel set a winning score at Pen-y-Gelli.
The hosts made 172-7 off 40 overs, David Moulson with 3-28, Ranjith Thozhuthingal 2-22 and Osian Murray Williams 2-23 for Gele, who were then dismissed for 92, Jagath Magulagama 4-15, Syam Sreedharan 2-15 and Connor Hughes 2-22 for the winning side.

Menai Bridge 2nd XI (15) 179-1 Llanrwst (0) 176-7

In-form Samuel Bixby made a season’s best 100 not out as Bridge seconds took maximum points at Tyn-y-Caeau.
Bixby’s last three league scores have been 89, 77 and now that unbeaten ton in what has turned into a golden July for him.
Llanrwst won the toss and batted, notching a decent total of 176-7 off 40, Steffan Horan 50 not out and Aled Hughes 39, David Owen an impressive 3-16 from eight and Ian Grainger 2-36 for the islanders.
Menai responded with 179-1 off 32.1, Samuel Bixby hitting 14 fours and four sixes in his dominant innings, well supported by Matt Bixby (57 no).

Pontblyddyn 2nd XI (2) 126-9 Marchwiel & Wrexham (13) 199-10

Scott Lawrenson’s 68 was the pivotal innings of Marchwiel and Wrexham match-clinching total of 199 at Alder Meadow.
Lawrenson received good backing in his 61-ball effort from Muhammad Ghufran, who added 42 for the away side, all out in the 38th over.
David Brilley pocketed 4-40 and Gareth Jones 3-32 for Pont, who were limited to 126-9, skipper Rhys Jones 43 and George Matthias 34, Phil Oddie snaring 2-11 off eight, Ghufran 2-24 and George Forgrave 2-29 for Wiel.

Pwllheli (3) 134-10 St Asaph 2nd XI (12) 137-7

Iwan Roberts’ cracking figures of 4-19 did much to help St Asaph seconds’ successful victory bid at Parc Bodegroes.
After calling the coin correctly and batting, Pwllheli were dismissed for 134, Logan Roberts 28, Iwan Roberts’ fine return coming off eight overs, while Cameron Davies bagged 2-22.
It was far from an easy ride for Saints when it was their turn to bat, but they reached the winning post on 137-7 off 36.5, Andy Mearns an important 42, Morgan 2-7 and Kartik Bhardwaj 2-26 for the hosts.

Ruthin (4) 145-5 Llay Welfare (11) 161-9

Inserted by the opposition, Llay made 161-9 off 40, Jacob Roberts scoring 40 and skipper Tom Parry 37, Osian Roberts poaching 2-20, Jac Evans 2-29 and Jonny Clayton 2-35 for the hosts, who could only manage 145-5, Ieuan Wynne Lewis (46 no) and Duncan Roberts (45 not out) putting on an unbroken stand of 97 for the sixth wicket after Ruthin were reduced to 48-5.
Mike Wright scooped a crucial 3-20 off eight for Llay, who won by 16 runs and 11 points to 4.

DIVISION THREE

Abergele 2nd XI (12) 144-10 Gresford 2nd XI (3) 115-10

Harry Parker’s magical return of 5-15 was not enough to save his side Gresford seconds from defeat at Pentre Mawr Park.
Gele were asked to bat and concocted 144 all out, Sanjo Kuttan 42, Parker with the standout figures off his eight-over spell for the visitors, Sam Burke 2-24.
Gresford’s response saw them sent packing for 115, James Griffin 32, Arun Arikkat 3-23 and Kuttan 2-28 for the winning side.

Clwb Criced Caernarfon (3) 134-10 Denbigh 2nd XI (12) 163-4

Captain Dan Nixon made 50 not out and Josh Jones 32 as table-topping Denbigh seconds set 163-4 after being put in at Coed Helen, Caernarfon replying with 134 all out, Naimul Islam 38, Nixon 3-12, David Kitching 3-19 and Alec Lewis 2-32 for the victorious visitors.

Gwersyllt Park 2nd XI (12) 143-6 Bersham (3) 139-10

Michael Griffiths grabbed 3-17, Ryan McCarthy 2-16 and Josh Marshall 2-34 as Gwersyllt got rid of Bersham for 139, Prince Alexander 45 for the visitors, the hosts then hitting the winning line in the final over on 143-6, skipper Ben Griffiths 45, Noufal Khader 2-21 for the Colliers.

Llandudno 2nd XI (1) 98-9 Hawarden Park 2nd XI (14) 100-2

A comfortable eight-wicket triumph for Hawarden Park seconds at The Oval.
Captain David Barlow did best with 37 as Tudno were restricted to 98-9, Craig Wilson 3-16, Owen Ford 2-20 and Tom Wilson 2-31 for the Flintshire side, who eased to 100-2 in 23.4, Christopher Brooks 43 not out and skipper Haseeb Hanif 32 no.

Mold 2nd XI (11) 170-9 Buckley 2nd XI (4) 166-10

A really close-fought derby at Chester Road.
Buckley seconds were all out for 166 off 37.4, Jatin Sharma 55 and Gary Mayers 30, Dan Jones 3-39, David Graham 2-0 and Oliver Jones 2-19 for the hosts, who scraped home on 170-9 with three balls to spare, Henry Roberts 41 and Daniel Williams 34, Tom Pool 3-26 and Alfie McManus 2-34 for the travelling side.

DIVISION FOUR

Clwb Criced Y Bala (12) 162-4 Carmel & District 2nd XI (3) 132-10

Skipper Jason Jones took centre stage with 77 not out in a fine Bala victory – just their second since rejoining the league.
The hosts made 162-4 off 40 overs, Dan Williams adding 30, Luke Owen 2-34 for visitors Carmel seconds.
The Flintshire visitors were then bowled out for 132, extras top-score on 28, Will Bell banking an impressive 4-19 off 7.5 for the Lakesiders.

Marchwiel and Wrexham 2nd XI (2) 149-6 Connah’s Quay 2nd XI (13) 208-10

Aaron Pearson made 47 not out and James Thomas 34 as Connah’s Quay seconds put together a testing total of 208 all out at Marchwiel Hall.
Ed Greening picked up 3-34, Jeremy Wilks 2-21 and Zahid Sharif 2-31 for the hosts, who were kept down to 149-6 in reply, Michael Forgrave (53) and Nick Husbands (52 not out) putting on 97 for the first wicket. Cole Hooson took 3-7 off four for the Deesiders.
