Louis Chapman has signed for CPD Boded

With Caergybi taking a break from football this season, Boded moved quickly to secure the services of top quality goalscorer Chapman.

Louis did not start playing senior football until he was 20, joining CPD Caergybi in 2021-22.

He went on to score a remarkable 118 goals in 111 appearances for his only club, scooping 16 hat-tricks.

In his first season, he netted 51 times, bagged 29 goals in 2022-23, registered 18 ln 2023-24 and last term scored 20.

A CPD Boded spokesman said: “Louis is a striker that really does have it all. He’s got plenty of pace, loves taking defenders on one on one, has a wand of a left foot and as his goalscoring record for Caergybi has shown over the past few seasons he knows exactly where the goal is.”

Floyd Chapman (Caergybi to CPD Boded)

Elder brother of Louis, Floyd is a solid defender, has plenty of pace, is good in one on one situations, has a great left foot and loves bombing forward.

He’s already shown in the few games he’s played in pre-season that his deliveries from out wide and set pieces will provide plenty of assists for new team Boded.

Floyd made 110 appearances for Caergybi dating back to 2021-22.

Luke Bradshaw (Rhyl Albion to Blue Bridge)

Good on the ball and excels from set-pieces and dead-ball situations.
Luke, 26, has spent most of the past three seasons with Rhyl Albion, but also had a brief stays with Bow FC.

Carl Howard (Rhyl Albion to Blue Bridge)

A Rhyl Albion player for the last two seasons, but with that club’s demise now brings his experience to tier 5 Blue Bridge.

Ieuan Lloyd (Gwalchmai to Aberffraw)

Right-back, aged 29, returns to Berffro where he has played for the vast majority of his career.

Was at Bangor City in 2014 before switching to Aberffraw at the start of 2015, going on to spend eight years at Cae Cynlas.

Joined Llangefni Town at the start of 2023-24, making 30 appearances for the tier 3 Ardal North West outfit prior to a switch to Gwalchmai in August 2024.

Made 25 appearances for Gwalch, scoring twice, before becoming the latest in a long line of players to leave Maes Meurig this summer.

Owen Davies (Denbigh Town to Colwyn Bay)

Attacking player Davies, 20, returns to the Bay having been part of the Academy before spells with The New Saints and Denbigh Town.

Davies had trials with Everton before joining The New Saints Academy, signing a professional contract in the summer of 2023 and appearing in a Nathaniel MG Cup tie against Porthmadog.

He joined Denbigh Town on loan in January 2024 – 10 goals in 15 appearances – before making the move permanent that summer.

Last season he scored 16 goals in 30 games in the JD Cymru North side and contributed seven assists.

He was shortlisted for the JD Cymru North Young Player of the Season.

Louis Robles (Bala Town to Colwyn Bay)

Regular goalscorer in the Cymru Premier since 2019-20 in spells with Bala Town, The New Saints and Newtown.

The 28-year-old, born in Liverpool and of Spanish descent, can operate as an out-and-out striker or on the wings.

Robles came through the Liverpool Academy, where he spent eight years before moving to Wigan Athletic, making his senior debut in 2015.

Loan moves at Macclesfield Town and Gloucester City followed and after leaving Wigan he moved to the United States and represented Limestone Saints in college soccer.

On his return to the UK he made a solitary appearance for Bangor City in 2017 before spells in Spanish football with Atlético Baleares and San Roque de Lepe.

He joined Grimsby Town in June 2018 where he made five appearances before a return to San Roque de Lepe.

Since 2019 he has played in the Cymru Premier for Bala, TNS and Newtown before rejoining the Lakesiders, where he spent last season.

Oli Buckley (Meliden to Holywell Town)

Lively attacker who can operate as a central striker or down the wings.

Past clubs include Meliden, Rhyl FC, Prestatyn Town, Rhyl 1879 and Holywell Town, who he now rejoins.

Played in the Cymru Premier for both Rhyl FC and Prestatyn Town. Has also had Cymru North stints with Prestatyn and Holywell.

Joined tier 4 club Meliden last season, scoring six goals in 10 appearances.

A Holywell Town statement said: “Oli returns for a second spell at Holywell, having previously played for us between 2021 and 2023. He adds firepower to the front line and brings real competition to the squad ahead of the new season.”

Tom Rees Jones (Llanfairpwll to Glantraeth)

Talented youngster, aged 19, who initially made his mark for Llanfairpwll Under-16s.

Made his senior debut for CPD Gaerwen in 2022-23 and spent two and a bit seasons with the Auctioneers, making 51 first team appearances and scoring five goals.

Transferred to Llanfairpwll in November 2024, playing in 12 matches before the end of the season.

Harry Jones (to Glantraeth)

Defender who had a long spell with Gwalchmai before joining Llannerhymedd in October 2022.

Moved to Gaerwen briefly the season after, then on to Aberffraw.

Played just once for Valley Seniors last season.
