Connah’s Quay Nomads women have added two top-quality signings to their already strong squad for the 2025-26 campaign.
Former Manchester United and Stoke City striker Megan Galeandro and ex-Wrexham midfield dazzler Libby MacKenzie have both signed for the 2024-25 Adran North champions.
Galeandro, 18, scored 16 goals in 22 games last season for the Stoke City Development side which won the FAWNL Reserve League Midland Division title and Staffordshire FA Women’s Vase.
Prior to that, she developed her talents at Manchester United and was a regular for the FAW Girls Academy North teams from Under-14 through to U17. She has also represented Wales at schoolgirl level.
Galeandro is also well known for her prolific goal scoring feats in the all-conquering Ysgol Glan Clwyd girls teams of recent years.
The St Asaph based school have won the Welsh Schools Under-18 Girls Cup two years running, with Megan playing a major role, as well as lifting numerous area, regional and national honours.
MacKenzie, 22, spent three seasons with Wrexham AFC Women, winning the Adran North league title as invincibles in 2022-23. She came on as a substitute in the promotion play-off final which saw Wrexham defeat Briton Ferry Llansawel and reach the Adran Premier.
The midfield livewire played in 61 games for the Dragons in all competitions, scoring 13 goals. She also previously wore the colours of Pontypridd United.
The additions of Galeandro and MacKenzie will only strengthen a Nomads squad which has retained the majority of last season’s title-winning heroes.
