CPDM Henllan marked the end of a successful first season in senior football with a highly positive presentation evening.
The Vale of Clwyd side finished third on debut in the North East Wales Women’s League East Division in 2024-25, scoring a stunning 86 goals in 12 matches.
They also reached the Betty Pickering Shield final, losing out to Kinmel Bay.
Henllan had one of North Wales’ players of the season in 17-year-old Beth Roberts, whose 53 goals in 19 appearances was the highest total by a North Wales woman player since former Wrexham star Lowri Edwards scored 65 times in 32 matches back in 2011-12,
Outgoing managers Gerwyn Jones and Eurwyn Vaughan presented the prizes at the Plough in St Asaph.
Henllan’s new manager is Dave Edwards, brother of goalkeeper Rhian, who is also part of the management team at CPD Llannefydd alongside Gwyndaf Pritchard and Ally Stubbs.
