Right-sided attacker James Stevens is reunited with Prestatyn Town manager Gareth Thomas at Bastion Gardens.
Thomas brought the 19-year-old to CPD Y Rhyl 1879 last season when Perry was in charge of the Lilywhites.
Stevens impressed in the early stages of the 2024-25 campaign, scoring in cup tie victories against Glan Conwy and Coedpoeth United.
His attacking bursts down the right and deliveries into the box were particularly impressive.
When Paul Moore took over as Rhyl boss in November, Stevens’ first team opportunities became more limited, with all his remaining appearances coming from the bench – although he did remain a valued member of the Ardal North West title-winning squad.
In all, Stevens featured in 27 games for the Lilywhites and will be fondly remembered by Belle Vue fans, especially for those early-season showings.
Stevens has also previously played for Prestatyn Town.
In 2022-23, he was involved in 13 Cymru North matches for the Seasiders and had 16 outings in all competitions.
Early in 2023-24 he moved on to tier 3 Saltney Town, making 17 appearances for the Bordermen and netting four goals. He also has previous experience at North West Counties League club Burscough.
Prestatyn manager Thomas tracked the progress of Stevens at Burscough, Prestatyn and Saltney before finally landing his man and bringing him to Rhyl.
No doubt Perry will be delighted to have him on board again at Bastion Gardens.
