If you’re looking for Treble, you’ve come to the right place – joy for Penmaenmawr Phoenix!

League champions, treble winners….now Penmaenmawr Phoenix want to end their most successful ever season as invincibles!
Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw at Kinmel Bay clinched Phoenix the 2024-25 Tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier title – the first table the club has topped since winning the Vale of Conwy League in 1989-90.
The draw at Y Morfa also meant Aaron Keating’s side are still undefeated in the league all season – 22 wins and five draws from 27 games with 104 goals scored and just 19 conceded.
Phoenix will travel to Cerrigydrudion on May 31 determined to avoid defeat so they will be forever remembered as the invincibles.
From 42 matches in all competitions this season, Pen have won 34, drawn six and lost just two – 0-5 to Tier 3 Trearddur Bay on October 5, 2024 in the FAW Amateur Trophy and 1-2 against Tier 3 Llanuwchllyn in the Welsh Cup a month earlier.
They are currently unbeaten in 29 league and cup fixtures dating back more than seven months.
Wednesday night’s visit to now confirmed runners-up Kinmel Bay had quite a lot riding on it.

Had Bay won, they would have leapfrogged Pen in the table and the Cae Sling side would have needed a point from their final game at Cerrig to take the title on goal difference.
But there was no beating either side on the night, Kinmel ending their campaign without losing in the league for 22 matches dating back to October 2024, when they suffered their only Premier defeat of the season to Cerrig.
Pen and Kinmel had drawn 0-0 in their previous league encounter back in August as well and chances were fairly rare in the return game, Phoenix’s Adam Hold hitting the post and Connor Morris heading just wide for Bay.

It has been an amazing season for Penmaenmawr Phoenix, who have played under their current name since 1989-90.
Before that, the club was known as Penmaenmawr FC, first appearing in the North Wales Coast League in 1902-03.
Quite remarkably, after winning the North Wales Coast Intermediate Cup (then named the North Wales Amateur Cup) in 1924-25, exactly 100 years later they repeated the feat as Phoenix, defeating local rivals Llanfairfechan Town in the final on May 17, 2025.
