If you are going to win your first-ever league title then you may as well do it in style!

And Brickfield Rangers certainly did that as they whipped Radnor Valley 6-0 at Clywedog Park to be crowned Ardal North East champions for 2024-25.

Needing just a point to secure the biggest prize in the club’s history, Gareth Wilson’s men delivered a goal-packed treat for their supporters.

Rangers went into the match on a real high having already secured a Tier 2 licence which brings with it elevation to the JD Cymru North for the first time.

Assured of second place, and with leaders Bow Street not applying to go up, promotion was in the bag but now Brickfield also wanted the league title they had worked so hard for over the past 10 months.

Bricky will now become the latest Wrexham area club to try tier 2 for size, following the likes of Llay Welfare, Penycae, Lex, Rhos Aelwyd, Queen’s Park and Chirk AAA over the past four decades.

Today’s deluge began with Isaac Dawson making it 1-0 in the 11th minute, Tom Freeman with the assist.

Aiden Fox added a second, Tom Williams setting him up, before Freeman notched number three from the penalty spot on 32.

Nine minutes into the second half it was Freeman again on target. What a tremendous asset this attacking player has been in the closing weeks of the campaign for a Rangers outfit he joined from Chirk in March.

Jay Richardson and Callum Roberts added further goals for Bricky before the title and promotion party began.

Brickfield are 2024-25 champions, with Bow Street finishing second and Llanuwchllyn, who will meet Holyhead Hotspur in a tier 2 promotion play-off next weekend, ending up third.
