The big guns were firing in the Goalden Girl stakes this weekend!
Top pair Beth Roberts and Jess Jones faced each other and added one net-finder apiece to their respective totals, while Connah’s Quay Nomads captain Polly Wild-McGregor continued her amazing form with a hat-trick to go third in the standings on 23 goals.
Ella Jones struck twice to edge above the 20-mark, while Pwllheli’s remarkably consistent Lois Thomas delivered a treble to rise to 18 goals.
Abby Cattell bagged the winner for Henllan against Llangefni to move onto 16, while a third hat-trick of the campaign for Kinmel Bay striker Amy Chesters boosted her tally to 15.
Jess Woods of Trearddur Bay vaulted into double figures with five goals against Welshpool and Bethany Kell of Denbigh Town did likewise with three in her team’s triumph over Llanystumdwy.
And Ava Suckley’s triple strike made her the first Wrexham player to reach 10 goals this term.
A goal-packed weekend – well done to all the net-busters.
