A positive step forward for the future of football in Bangor has been made this week.
Discussions between Bangor City Stadium and Bangor City 1876 are progressing well, it is reported.
The two parties, who met last night, revealed last month that a new partnership agreement is on the way.
Today, Bangor City 1876 released the following statement: “We are pleased to share that Bangor City Stadium and Bangor 1876 have engaged in constructive discussions regarding the future of football in Bangor.
“Last night’s meeting marked an important moment in our shared commitment to strengthening the game in our city and exploring opportunities to work together for the benefit of the community.
“The conversations were driven by a mutual respect for the proud history of Bangor football and a shared ambition to ensure its future success. We are encouraged by the positive dialogue and are optimistic about what lies ahead as we continue to explore ways to unite under a shared vision.
“With terms now agreed by both parties, the next step is to take an agreed proposal to the Bangor 1876 fans. We will share further updates soon as we conclude this work, and look towards creating an exciting and sustainable future for football in Bangor.
“Together, we are confident that we can create something truly special for our city and its passionate footballing community.”
