He was a hat-trick hero in the Welsh Cup at the weekend and tonight he secured his team three vital points in the league.
Take a bow Nathan Brown of Denbigh Town.
Since joining Town at the start of 2022-23, Brown has netted a superb 61 goals in 95 appearances, the latest clinching Dewi Llion’s side a 2-1 result at Bastion Gardens.
The Welsh Cup quarter-finalists, who will discover their last eight opponents tomorrow, created a 19th minute chance at Prestatyn when Sam Duffy half-voilleyed just wide from a corner.
Two minutes later, Duffy edged the visitors ahead. A throw in from Owen Davies came to Duffy, whose shot made it just over the goal-line. It was his fifth goal of the 2024-25 season.
Prestatyn were level within two minutes when from the left of the box Oli Buckley fired home a beauty over the keeper to lift the home supporters.
Brown went close to restoring the Denbigh advantage when he received the ball from Iwan Roberts and hit a fine strike which Robbie Williams saved well.
All-square at half time, and while Denbigh began the second period in lively fashion Prestatyn steadily asserted themselves on proceedings, Tom Weir going close with a header.
As the game entered its last 10 minutes, Williams did well to deny Davies on a counter attack and Brown fired another fierce attempt just wide.
Then in the 85th minute, Prestatyn dallied at the back and Davies was involved before Brown pounced to knock in the winner and his 15th goal of this season.
Heartbreak for bottom side Prestatyn, but the performances are starting to take shape under new manager Gareth Thomas.
They put in a tremendous effort tonight and perhaps deserved better than what they got.
