Bangor City Stadium has set up a £40,000 fund to help those in need this Christmas.
Chairman Nick Pritchard wants the stadium to deliver some pre-Yuletide festive cheer for the locality
He said: “Every year we get ready to go through the pain of thinking what perfume/socks we’ll buy our wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends, but some don’t have that privilege. Some have the pressure of increased fuel bills, loss of employment, or just life’s difficulties getting in the way of simply having a warm Christmas or being able to buy that gift for the kids.
“This year Bangor City Stadium has set up a fund (£40,000) to make sure as many as we can help get that extra little help this Christmas.
“This is a reach out to those local people that go that little bit further this time of year to make sure people are safe and warm in our communities. Please DM the stadium page (not mine, Nick!) with how the stadium can help your communities and we’ll do best we can to support you. This could be a friend or a loved one you see suffering and you’re unable to help yourself. We can’t help everyone but we can make a difference if we come together.
“£100 Tesco food vouchers available as well for families that need that extra help on Christmas Day.
“DM the Stadium with a name and address and we’ll post them through the door. Please make sure these vouchers go to those who need them.”
