Flint secured their first three points in the Genero Adran North by going nap against NFA at Essity Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A good crowd gathered to enjoy a clash which was by no means one-sided, the visitors having their moments, but the Silkwomen proving far superior in the finishing department.

2 min: Early chance for Flint after stand-in keeper Mia Wall lost control of a through ball, but from an angle Kaelyn Williams hit the outside of the post.

4 min – GOAL: RUBY McGILLOWAY’S near post header from a Rosie Hughes corner proves too powerful for Wall to keep out. FLINT 1 NFA 0

16 min: A sublime chip from Kaelyn Williams drifts just wide.

21 min – GOAL: Ruby Hastings drills in low cross from the right and ZOE STOPFORD applies the finish. FLINT 2 NFA 0

29 min: Kaelyn Williams strikes a great effort from 25 yards just wide.

32 min – GOAL: Free kick awarded on edge of the area for handball, ROSIE HUGHES lashes into the bottom left-hand corner. FLINT 3 NFA 0

38 min: So nearly a calamity for NFA as Amy Webster slots the ball past her own keeper, but Wall manages to clear the danger in desperation.

No real efforts on goal from NFA in the first half, although Becky Bott had to be quick off her line to clear a back-pass, while a couple of other away attacks showed promise.

59 min: McGilloway finds Kaelyn Williams, who shoots just wide.

61 min: Wall pushes low drive from Rosie Hughes behind for a corner

65 min: Amazing delivery over the defence from Kaelyn Williams releases Stopford, whose lob lands on top of the net.

69 min: First effort on target for NFA – Molly Brown’s 20-yard shot forces a save from Bott.

71 min – GOAL: RUBY HASTINGS lashes into the net after a Rosie Hughes effort got away from the keeper. FLINT 4 NFA 0

77 min – GOAL: Sub Daisy Hughes, making her first appearance of the season, has an instant impact when her brilliant through ball releases ROSIE HUGHES who runs on and finishes in style. FLINT 5 NFA 0

82 min: Close call for NFA as sub Clare Smedley hits an audacious lob which substitute keeper Ruby Stevens manages to scramble clear.

90 min: So nearly the perfect return for Daisy Hughes when she gets a close range chance from the last kick of the match, but Wall saves well.

Did everything but score, having more goal attempts than anyone, and her passing and link-up play was different class.
