Nomads manager Parry believes new signing Ella Jones is perfect fit for his team

Ella Jones will soon take to the pitch in a Nomads shirt

Connah’s Quay Nomads manager Jordan Parry believes new signing Ella Jones is a perfect fit for his squad.

Striker Jones has made a surprise move from Genero Adran North champions Llandudno to title rivals Nomads.

Jones, 20, recently passed the 50-goals mark for the Seasiders in just 34 appearances.

She is currently top-scorer in tier 2 Genero Adran North and has notched 15 goals this season in all competitions.

Jones was part of the Llandudno side which landed the Adran North title for the second time in three seasons in March.

She also featured in Tudno’s 2021-22 championship team until her season ended early, leading to a two-year layoff.

Since returning last season, her form has been electric. She now switches to a Nomads outfit which whipped Llandudno 5-0 in the NEWFA Challenge Cup on Sunday.

Nomads manager Parry is delighted to get Ella on board.

“Ella is a player I’ve admired for a very long time with qualities that come natural to her in front of goal.

It’s quite obvious why Ella has been highlighted to me from so many and that’s not only just scoring goal after goal but her link up play and her ability to dominate when running in behind with the end product of composure in the box.

“I’m more than confident after seeing Ella against us so much that she will fit our style of play and most importantly principles at Nomads Women.

“She’s ruthless in the final third with a real thought process of where she wants to put the ball and I know with her coming to Nomads she will develop her game even more so and go up another level, It was a no brainer to ask the question as she fits the profile of player we want to achieve our short and long-term goals.

“I know she will be a great addition to what we have already and myself and the girls are all really looking forward to working with her.”

Before starting her senior football career, Ella was best known for scoring a hat-trick in quadruple-winning Penrhyn Bay’s FAW Under-16 Girls Welsh Cup final victory in 2018-19,
