NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE

Premier Division

Mochdre Sports 3-1 Cerrigydrudion

Mochdre grabbed top spot in the Premier with a cracking win over fellow high-riders Cerrig.

Josh Grimshaw, Finlay Jones and Niall Owen put Sports three-up before Tomos Watkin-Jones notched a late reply.

CPD Y Glannau 5-3 Llandyrnog United

Steve Kirk was a hat-trick star for Y Glannau in this eight-goal thriller against pointless bottom side Llandyrnog.

Thomas Jones and substitute Josh MacGillivray added singles for the home side, Kyle De-Lloyd, Huw Sadler and captain Nathan Rose on target for the visitors.

Division One

Blue Bridge 0-7 Llandudno Swifts

Swifts moved to within three points of leaders Rhos United with a seven-goal demolition of Blue Bridge.

Freddie Banning netted three goals and provided two assists for the visitors, Cian Newell, sub Tom Thornton, Rhys Brook and Jacob Guy also on the mark.

Harry Payne grabbed an 89th minute winner for Henllan at The Bananabeu

Lee Fallas’ seventh-minute goal guaranteed Llysfaen a half time lead, but Steffan Jones levelled on 56 before Payne’s late decider.

Penrhyn Bay 3-3 Rhyl Albion

All-square at The Oval, Solomon Dickens, Aaron Gregson and Stan Farrell – with a 90 minutes plus equaliser – scoring for the hosts, Kyle Lally, Shaun Davies and Joshua Jones for Albion.

Prestatyn Wanderers 3-4 Prestatyn Sports

ROY GUNTHER captures the action at Wanderers v Sports

Quite a derby classic this one.

Sports led 4-0 at half time, but Wanderers fought back in the second period and nearly forced a draw.

Alex Garrett and Kris Owen both netted twice in the opening 45 to seemingly put the visitors in command, but after the break Deacan Leuty, Daniel Cunnah and Mason Kenny hit back, making it 4-3 with still 20 minutes left, but that was the end of the scoring.
