Chirk seconds will round off what has often been an encouraging season this Saturday when they travel to Quayside 1st XI.
Last Saturday saw the North Wales club’s second team end up not as fortunate as the firsts as their home clash with Lilleshall thirds was abandoned at a time where the hosts were well placed.
Barry Wilding made 69 and skipper Dale Randall 57, Chirk setting 206-5 off 40 overs after winning the toss and deciding to bat.
The visitors were 46-3 off 13 overs when the rain spoiled hopes of a result.
