Was a record broken in North Wales senior football today for the most goals produced in the least amount of matches in a single division?
Probably not, but the 63 goals accumulated over six matches in the tier 5 North East Wales League Championship Division must be right up there with the largest aggregates.
Acton 9 CPD Cei Connah 3
Deeside Dragons 0 Brymbo 13
Johnstown YFC 3 Broughton United 10
Rhydymwyn 12 Deeside United 1
Skippy 0 CPD Sychdyn United 6
CPD Yr Wyddgrug 5 Overton Recreation 1
Top net-finders on the day were Brymbo with 13 – with CPD Yr Wyddgrug the lowest-scoring winners, but still recording a very handy five goals.
Seb Kidd (Acton) 4
Kyle Wilkes (Rhydymwyn) 4
Sam Wall (Brymbo) 3
Ryan Davies (Rhydymwyn) 3
Joe Robins (CPD Sychdyn) 3
And there could have been a lot more goals had Bellevue versus Holywell United gone ahead!!
However, 63 goals in six games in the same division is plenty to be going on with – thanks for the entertainment all!
And a few words of consolation for the beaten teams – you didn’t sail your ship alone today. ❤
