DIVISION ONE

Chirk 1st XI (20) 120-3 Wellington 2nd XI (3) 115-10

Veteran campaigners Andrew Swarbrick and Nick Flack were in fine form with the ball in Chirk’s seven-wicket win at Holyhead Road on Saturday.

Visitors Wellington seconds were put into bat and found themselves bowled out for just 115 in 29 overs.

Swarbrick, who is edging towards 400 league wickets for the club, took 4-29 off nine overs, while Flack, who passed the 400-mark last year, claimed 3-30.

In response, Chirk reached 120-3 in 23.2, opener Gareth Partridge (37) and Wynn Jones (29) putting on 60.

Lilleshall 3rd XI (-5) Chirk 2nd XI (20)

Lilleshall conceded.

Chirk seconds are 19 points clear at the Division Seven summit.
