St Asaph’s Nathanael Scott (74) and wicket-keeper Luke Russell of Colwyn Bay (71) did most to ensure Wales NC North set a winning total in their clash with the RAF at Shifnal, Shropshire.
Tuesday’s battle was a close-run affair but the north did enough to claim a 10-run victory.
Scott and Russell both produced fine knocks, while in the bowling Owen Davies of Mochdre scooped 4-53.
Four North Walians featured for a Wales Over-40s side which suffered a heavy defeat to a rampant England in this opening T20 contest at Hammerwich CC, Staffordshire.
Gareth Edwards (Ruthin), Darren Leach (Northop) and debutants Robbie Marshall (Bangor) and Iroshan De Silva (Gwersyllt Park) made the starting line up.
England smashed 249-6 off their 20 overs, former Yorkshire player Simon Guy cracking 120 and South African ex-Cambridgeshire all-rounder Sean Park 82. Edwards took 2-61.
Wales’ reply ended on 119-6, Da Silva finishing 14 not out.
In a second match between the sides, Wales fared much better, enjoying a five-wicket victory.
With Guy and Park placed down the order and ending up not batting, England set 152-5 off their 20, Edwards 2-50 and Da Silva conceding just 15 runs off his four overs, Marshall claiming a couple of dismissals, including a stumping.
In response, Wales made it to 156-5 off the final over Nick Morgan a crucial 60 no.
