Details of the draw for the first and second round of the 2024/25 Nathaniel MG Cup have been confirmed.
The draws, which are both regionalised into Northern and Southern sections, will be broadcast on RedWall+ at 8pm on Wednesday 19 June.
32 clubs enter the competition in round one – 15 from the JD Cymru North, 13 from the JD Cymru South and this season’s four wildcards Cardiff City, Merthyr Town, Newport County and Swansea City.
As all four wildcards are south Wales-based and the Nathaniel MG Cup is regionalised until the semi-final stage, Newport County will enter the Northern section for regional balance following consultation with clubs
The 12 JD Cymru Premier clubs are granted byes into the second round, alongside four tier two clubs based on their finishing positions in 2023/24 – Ammanford, Colwyn Bay, Llanelli Town and Pontypridd United.
The first round of the Nathaniel MG Cup takes place across the weekend of 19-21 July, before the second round takes place across the weekend of 2-4 August.
