He starred as a loan signing at Denbigh Town last season and now his move to the Vale of Clwyd club has become permanent.

Cymru North side Town are delighted to announce the capture of forward Owen Davies.

The 19-year-old joined the club initially on loan from Cymru Premier champions The New Saints in January, where he scored 10 goals in just 15 appearances.

Now the striker joins Town permanently after penning a deal for the 2024/25 season.

“I’m really pleased to secure Owen for the upcoming season,” said manager Dewi Llion.

“When we knew Owen would be leaving TNS we made it a priority to bring him in after such a good season with us, and we’re really pleased he’s decided to join us for the new campaign.

“He developed so well during his time with us and we feel he’ll only get better, and that will only benefit the team moving forward.”

Davies said: “I’m really excited to be back at Denbigh Town.

“When I arrived in January I felt the club was a really good fit and after such a good second half of the season here it felt right to continue that momentum going into next year.”

He began his career in the academy at home-town club Colwyn Bay whilst also training with Everton for a short while. He was spotted by TNS and joined up with the Saints academy.

The young forward impressed in both Reserve and Youth football last season scoring an impressive 29 goals in 13 matches, whilst also making his senior debut for TNS in the Nathaniel MG Cup against Porthmadog.

Davies signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2023 and featured in pre-season against Denbigh Town’s first team, scoring twice.

He went on to haunt Town’s Reserves at Central Park in December, scoring a mind-blowing six second-half goals for TNS before switching to Central Park for his initial loan.
