LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST – MATCH REPORTS AND LATEST LEAGUE TABLE

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24

Cefn Albion 2 Penycae 1

Two goals within a minute in the first half from Alex Williams and Tom Smith were enough to secure Albion the points in Wednesday’s Wrexham-area derby.

Callum Smith’s late penalty turned out to be just a consolation for Penycae.

Llanuwchllyn 3 Bow Street 2

Warren Aykroyd-Duckett’s 94th minute decider ensured Llanuwchllyn made it 12 wins in 13 league outings and earned themselves some daylight in second place.

Llan now travel to leaders Penrhyncoch this Saturday in what is a must-win game for Sion Tudor’s men, who trail the Roosters by 11 points but have three games in hand.

Wednesday’s battle with Bow Street saw second meet third and what a thriller it was, with serious drama in the closing stages.

Will Owen’s seventh-minute goal for Llan was enough to separate the teams at the break.

When Meilir Williams’ 40th goal of the season made it 2-0 on 56, Owen with the assist, it looked like a home win was a sure thing, but Bow rallied to level with goals on 86 and 90 minutes from Tomos Roberts and Rhydian Davies respectively.

However, it was not all over and four minutes into added time, Gwydion Ifan set up Aykroyd-Duckett for the clincher.

Penrhyncoch 4 Llandrindod Wells 1

Four days after losing in heartbreaking fashion in the FAW Trophy final, Penrhyncoch bounced back magnificently to whip Llandrindod at Cae Baker.

Geoff Kellaway, Cameron Allen (2) and Dion Phillips put the Roosters four-up before Rob Nicholls bagged a 90th minute consolation for the visitors.

Radnor Valley 0 Builth Wells 4

Builth made it four straight wins and eight without defeat in the league with a midweek caning of Radnor Valley, who lost for the third time in four outings.

Lyndon Jones, Danny Ives and a Tommy Rowlands double clinched an emphatic away triumph, Wells’ perfect night somewhat tarnished by a 49th minute red card for Joseph Wozencraft.
