Ardal Northern: West – big win lifts Saltney off basement; East – seven on the bounce for Llanuwchllyn

Bethesda Athletic 1 Llay Welfare 3

It is now seven league games unbeaten for fourth-place Llay, who kept on course for a title bid with a great win at Parc Meurig.

The Welly led at the break through Scott Swords’ eighth-minute strike, Jon Collo with the assist.

Cavan Daley made it 2-0 four minutes into the second half, Swords the chance supplier this time.

Bethesda replied a minute later, captain Osian Hughes on target, but Llay had the last word with Rhys Lloyd’s goal on 76.

Pesda’s Mason Turpin was shown a red card in the 82nd minute.

Conwy Borough 1 Llangefni Town 1

Borough and Llangefni shared the points at Y Morfa.

Matty Jones edged the Anglesey visitors ahead on the stroke of half time and Dan Evans levelled for the hosts on 67.

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 0 Brickfield Rangers 0

An afternoon of frustration for the leaders who were made to rue missed chances.

Hawarden Rangers 0 Flint Mountain 3

Class told as second-placed Mountain made it four league wins on the bounce.

Flint led 1-0 at half time through Andy Brown, Jack Sconce with the assist.

Ryan Kershaw added a second on 69 minutes and Mike Hayes made it three in stoppage time after Rob Hughes set him up following a mazy run.

Llannefydd 1 Holyhead Hotspur 2

It is now 10 matches unbeaten for Hotspur, whose fine away form continued with three points at Llannefydd.

Winners at leaders CPD Y Rhyl 1879 on their last road trip, Holyhead did it again thanks to goals from Dylan Summers-Jones and Kane Roberts, Elgan Roberts responding with a penalty.

Nantlle Vale 3 St Asaph City 2

Cracking battle between two high-flying teams ended in Nantlle’s favour.

It was 2-2 at the break, Jamie Jones netting a double for Vale and Josh Brown and Isaac Carey for the Saints.

The winner arrived on 70 minutes from Ashley Fon Owen.

CPD Pwllheli 2 Llanrwst United 0

A first win in seven league outings for Pwllheli, Josua Lloyd Jones’ 10th minute goal and Carl Jones’ net-finder on 91 sealing the honours.

Chris Nicolson of Llanrwst received a red card and Steffan Toplis of Pwllheli was sent off on 88 minutes for a second yellow 

Saltney Town 3 CPD Y Felinheli 0

After eight league matches without a win, Saltney ended their barren run with a well deserved beating of new basement boys CPD Y Felinheli.

George Hughes, Callum Webber and Lewis Fearns grabbed the goals for the hosts.

Bow Street 2 Rhos Aelwyd 0

A goal in each half from Ifan Burrell and Ben Davies gave Bow Street the points against Rhos Aelwyd. 

Cefn Albion 0 Llanrhaeadr 0

No goals at Clywedog Park, where Jordan Williams missed a first half penalty for Cefn and Llanrhaeadr manager Michael Barton was shown two yellow cards in the 77th minute.

Penycae 1 Llanuwchllyn 3

Meilir Williams struck twice to boost his season’s goals total to 33 as Llanuwchllyn made it seven straight league wins at the expense of Penycae.

Garmon Hafal earlier broke the deadlock for fourth-place Llan and Williams made it 2-0 before half time, Callum Price replying with a spot-kick for the hosts on 59 minutes.

Radnor Valley 3 Llansantffraid 2

Second-place Radnor closed the gap at the top with a 3-2 win against Llansanffraid Village, Jack Clarke, Tom Edwards and Callum Matthews with the home goals all scored in the first half.
