Corby faces FAW charge for alleged social media breach – but will keep fighting to clear player’s name

Chris O’Neal

North Wales Coast Football Association councillor Chris O’Neal has confirmed he has been charged by the Football Association of Wales with allegedly breaching FAW social media regulations.

Mr O’Neal, popularly known as Corby and renowned for his advocacy within the football community, acknowledged the charges while emphasising his commitment to defending a football player in the North Easl Wales area against serious allegations brought by the North East Wales Football Association.

In light of the charges, Mr O’Neal has reiterated his unwavering dedication to pursuing justice on behalf of the player, even if it necessitates taking the case to the Court of Arbitration.

Despite the legal challenges, Mr O’Neal remains resolute in his support for the player and his determination to uphold fairness and integrity within the sport.

A source closely associated with the case revealed Mr O’Neal was enlisted by the player to assist in combating what they perceive as false allegations. Corby accepted the responsibility and actively engaged in the legal proceedings.

The initial hearing conducted by the FAW was prematurely abandoned due to procedural issues, further complicating the matter.

While awaiting a subsequent hearing, Mr O’Neal also believes the NEWFA has attempted to block his involvement in the case.

Mr O’Neal remains steadfast in his advocacy for the player’s rights and vows to continue his efforts despite the challenges presented by the ongoing social media breach proceedings.

The Football Association of Wales has been approached for comment
