JD CYMRU NORTH – TUESDAY, MARCH 19 REPORTS

Holywell Town 4 Prestatyn Town 0

Holywell’s 13th consecutive league victory put them back on top of the JD Cymru North table tonight.

Leading the way was hat-trick hero Jamie Breese. who has scored in nine consecutive games for the Wellmen and notched 14 goals in 11 appearances since joining the club in January.

Johnny Haseldin’s men took a third-minute lead. Breese picked up the ball just outside the area and fired low into the bottom corner with the keeper beaten.

Prestatyn responded with a good spell of pressure, Tom Weir firing one effort just over, before the hosts made it two on 22 minutes.

A great ball by Danny Andrews released Morgan Murray, who beat the advancing keeper and netted to double the lead.

The second half saw both sides create chances, Andrews having a fine effort tipped over, before it became 3-0 on 68 minutes.

Breese notched his second of the game, rounding the keeper and slotting home from a tight angle.

And it was a first club treble for Breese on 84 when he won a race to the ball with the keeper and found the empty net.

Denbigh Town 2 Gresford Athletic 5

A raft of second-half substitutions changed this game Gresford’s way with striker Joe Chaplin knocking in a late double.

Josh Lock gave Town a 28th minute lead from an Owen Davies assist before Charley Edge equalised with 41 on the clock.

Denbigh were back in front on 54, Lock this time the provider and Davies the finisher.

Gresford made a host of changes in a bid to turn the tide and it worked a treat in the final quarter.

Replacements Callum Mannion and Chaplin struck on 67 and 73 minutes respectively to put Eddie Maurice-Jones’ men 3-2 up against his former team.

Denbigh chased an equaliser, but Adam Hesp and Chaplin netted on 89 and 90+4 to clinch an away victory.

Guilsfield 2 Caersws 2

A point apiece at Clos Mytton, Iwan Matthews and Callum Bromley on the mark for the hosts, Neil Mitchell and captain Harry Cottam replying for Caersws, who had Rhys Hesden red-carded deep into stoppage time.
