Pwllheli Panthers lead the way by five points at the Hogan Gwynedd and Anglesey Winter Netball League DIVISION ONE summit after matches played in week 21 (March 5-6).
In their latest outing, Panthers were impressive 40-15 winners over Primos, Steffi Studt in outstanding form for the Llŷn Peninsula side.
Second-place Arfon Ladies outplayed Tim o Walis 32-10, while Fflamau Brynrefs defeated bottom side WaliB’s 30-19, Medi Williams excelling for the winners.
In a battle between third and fourth, Menai Mavericks achieved a 35-21 victory over Walis Bryncoch, Marged Sion a standout for the losing side.
A high-scoring encounter saw Celts Bach produce a big second-half display to see off Holyhead 41-27.
Caergybi led 11-7 after the opener and it was 17-17 at midway, but Celts upped their game to win the third and fourth quarters 13-7 and 11-3 respectively.
In DIVISION TWO, leaders Rebals Refail Arfon maintained their unbeaten record – but only just.
Rebals made it 14 without defeat – 13 wins and a draw – but were pushed all the way by Dreigiau Brynrefs before edging a 19-18 victory.
It was 7-7 at half time and Rebals led by three entering the last, but Brynrefs won the final session 8-6, ensuring there was a single goal in it at the end.
Cari Pritchard was exceptional for Dreigiau Brynrefs.
Cyrmic Caernarfon celebrated just a second win of the season as they beat bottom side Genod Nantlle 24-6.
Pwllheli Hustlers enjoyed a really good 31-13 triumph at the expense of Walis Wariars.
Second versus third was a thriller, as Porthmadog produced an amazing comeback to squeeze out a 23-22 win over Genod Walis.
Walis were 8-4 ahead after the first and a handy 15-7 at the halfway stage. After quarter three, Walis were still in front, but now by just 17-16.
And Port went for the kill, winning the closer 7-5 to claim a classic victory which keeps them in second spot. Efa Roberts had a tremendous game for Walis in a losing cause.
