Meet the Division One champions for 2021-22 – Tim o Walis

LLONGYFARCHIADAU/CONGRATULATIONS Tim o Walis – 2021-22 Gwynedd and Anglesey Netball Winter League champions.

The Caernarfon-based club have had a phenomenal season.

Last Wednesday, the first team wrapped up the Division One title with a 34-13 success over Llangefni.

Walis Bryncoch had already been crowned Division Two champions, while the club’s junior teams won a host of trophies during the campaign.

The Walis needed just a win to seal the title and they achieved this in some style, extending their lead across the four quarters

Pwllheli Panthers 38-21 Arfon Celts
(10-7; 21-11; 32-14; 38-21)

The goals flowed for the Panthers, although the Celts did well to battle to the end and edge the final quarter 7-6.

Dyffryn Ladies 33-12 WaliB’s
(7-5; 13-10; 23-10; 33-12)

WaliB’s were right in this contest at half time trailing just 10-7, but Dyffryn took command in the last two quarters, winning them 10-0 and 10-2.

Dolgellau 28-23 Arfon Ladies
(3-6; 11-13; 20-19; 28-23)

Dolgellau ended the season on a high, turning around a two-goal interval deficit to win by five at the close.
Arfon were 13-11 up at the midway stage, but then Dolgellau took the third 9-6 and the last 8-4.
