Some great names have reached double figures in the latest Bob Brodie Trophy chart.
CPD Boded’s Chris Jones, former Bangor City Europa League hero and ex-Leeds United and Wrexham forward, is up to 11 goals in the standings, while Menai Bridge Tigers evergreen Craig Roberts, 40 years young, recently bagged his 10th of the campaign.
Cory Williams of Holyhead Hotspur, at one time a Hereford United and Caernarfon Town man, is in fine form having netted 12 times this term, while Caergybi’s goal machine of past seasons Louis Chapman has increased his total to 11
Still only two players have reached the 20-mark – leader Asa Thomas on 36 goals and Gwalchmai’s young talent Kaine Bentley with 28.
The Bob Brodie Trophy recognises the top scorer representing Anglesey clubs in senior football, has been competed for since 2011-12, and is named in honour of the former Holyhead and Glasgow man, who sadly left us 13 years ago.
Bob enjoyed great success as a player and manager on his adopted home the Isle of Anglesey over numerous years.
