FAW RESERVES LEAGUE NORTH TIER 1-2

Gresford Athletic Reserves 2 Llandudno Under-23’s 1

Rob Reynolds struck twice for a Gresford Reserves side which was delighted to overcome opponents who made them dig deep for their success.

Reynolds found the net on 19 and 45+3, captain Cieran Williams replying for Llandudno after 30.

FAW RESERVE LEAGUE NORTH TIER 3

CPD Pwllheli Reserves 2 Nantlle Vale Reserves 9

Unstoppable Nantlle Vale moved 15 points clear at the top with a nine-goal show at Pwllheli.

Aaron Griffiths led the way with four, Llion Griffiths added a double and there was a single each for Hugh Jones, Dewi Cooke and Callum McDonnell.

Iwan Roberts-Jones and Owain Paramore netted consolation goals for Pwllheli.

NORTH EAST WALES VETERANS LEAGUE

Premier Division

Hawarden Rangers Vets 4 Connah’s Quay Nomads Vets 0

Hawarden moved a point clear at the top of the table but have played a game more than second-place Ruthin Town.

Stephen Hopkins, Matthew Phillips (2) and James McManus delivered the goals that sank Connah’s Quay.

Championship Division

Buckley Town Veterans 3 Deeside Dragons Vets 2

Ross Gilbert (2) and Colin Cunningham came up with the goals that guided Buckley to a hard-fought victory.

Ash Lewis responded with a double for Deeside, who had Martin Colecliffe red-carded late on.

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE EAST

Llanfairfechan Town Reserves 5 NFA Development 1

A late rush of goals delivered what was in the end an emphatic win for a Llanfairfechan side which only led 1-0 up to the 84th minute.

Sub Dylan Laing scored twice as Town cut the gap on the top two to four points with a 5-1 victory over 10-man NFA.

After a goalless first half, Cian Adams broke the deadlock for the hosts on 67 minutes.

It was not until the closing stages that James Griffith made it 2-0, then the subs took over with Laing’s double and a single from Leon Hender.

Prestatyn Wanderers Reserves 1 Bow Reserves 5

Bow took the win, but were given a great battle by a Prestatyn Wanderers side which held them at 0-0 up to half time.

Jonny Mee finally made the breakthrough in the 46th minute from the penalty spot, then 17-year-old new signing Jenson Wold doubled the lead on 50.

Shane Thomas added a third before Wanderers hit back after 63 through Matthew Roberts.

Sub Adam Williams added a goal to his two assists in the 70th minute and Wold rounded off the scoring with his second on 86,

NWCFA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE WEST

CPD Pentraeth Reserves 5 CPD Gaerwen Development 2

Ryan Shaw nudged Pentraeth in front on 29 minutes, but a Brooklyn Jones double after 34 and 43 gave Gaerwen a half-time lead.

It stayed at 2-1 until the 74th minute when Dyfed Alston made it two-apiece.

Pentraeth then produced the big finish – a Charlie Dales double on 82 and 90 and another goal from sub Sion Elsworth carrying them to victory.
