Caerwys 1 Lex XI 1 (Caerwys won 4-3 on pens)
For the third time this season Lex were eliminated from a cup competition after losing a penalty shoot-out.
The latest woe for the Law came at the hands of Caerwys in the Mike Beech Memorial Trophy quarter-finals at the weekend..
Previously this term, the Stansty Park club lost on spot-kicks to Hawarden Rangers in the FAW Amateur Trophy and FC Queen’s Park in the Premier Cup.
Saturday at Lon-yr-Ysgol brought an unwanted hat-trick for Ricky Evans’ side.

Finley Dyer fired Lex into a 29th minute lead from a Ben Williams assist, but Matty Gilsenan, in what turned out to be his last game for the club, equalised after 38.
No second half goals, so pens were needed and two saves from Elliot Quinlan ensured Caerwys won the shoot-out 4-3.
Two Counties Cup
Acton 4 CPD Gronant 1
Four red cards ensured Gronant finished Saturday’s cup encounter at Rhosnesni High School with just seven players.
Acton took the honours with goals from Sam Giles (2, 1 penalty), Andrew Bithell and Chad Humphreys, Kallum Pierce converting from the spot for the visitors.
The following Gronant players received their marching orders: goalkeeper Danny Mark Jones (47 minutes), Steven Kirk (69), David Jones (85) and Gary Fazackerley (87).

Greenfield Reserves 2 Saltney Town Reserves 1
Dylan Pugh’s second-minute strike plus a decider from James Adamson on 82 advanced Greenfield Reserves through to the next round.
Premier Division
Castell Alun Colts 1 Connah’s Quay Town 3
Goals from Lewis Harris, Freddie Watts and an 87th-minute match-clincher via Lewis Hodson banked maximum points for Town.
The win lifted Quay into fourth spot in the Premier.
Alister Belk replied for Casty, who had Stuart McHarrie sent off on 62 minutes for two yellow cards.
Championship Division
Holywell United 1 Skippy 0
Bottom side Skippy lost by just a single goal to Holywell United on Saturday.
It was a 17th straight league defeat for the Wrexham side, but also the nearest they have come to earning a first point.
Rhys Powell scored the only goal of the weekend battle at Mostyn Community Centre/Ffordd Aber Rec in first half stoppage time.
Johnstown 3 Rhydymwyn 5
Joe Jones (2, 1 penalty), Aled Reece, Thomas Chamberlain and Karl Bacon shared the goals in a hard-fought win for Rhydymwyn.
Johnstown’s replied through Tom Reeves, who put the hosts one-up after seven minutes and a Keneth Davies double (1 pen).

Five on the road without reply from Coedpoeth, Kevin Breeze, Eryk Osinski, Mykel Woollett, Jack Massey and William Griffiths (penalty) splitting the goals.
Lex Reserves 1 Mynydd Isa Reserves 8
New signing Andy Jones delivered a debut hat-trick for Mynydd Isa in a thumping away victory.
Jake Williams and Ollie Howarth notched two apiece with George Jones also on target.
Morgan Bagnall provided the Lex consolation.
