Ladies first….
That’s the state of play at Llandudno Football Club and the long-awaited return of home matches to the OPS Wind Arena.
Tonight (Wednesday) Llandudno Ladies will get first dabs (or studs) on the new 4G pitch at Maesdu Park when they play CPDM Y Felinheli in a Genero Adran North fixture.
Kick-off is 8 pm and the club would love to see a big crowd to greet the return of competitive football to the OPS.
The men’s team was meant to play the first match on the new pitch last Friday against Chirk AAA, but the bad weather prevented contractors from finishing the necessary work in time.
So now it’s onto this evening and the women, who pushed Adran Premier side Wrexham all the way on Sunday in the Welsh Cup before losing 1-0 to a 95th minute goal at The Rock.
Tudno also lost to current Adran North leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads recently, so they will be ultra keen to return to winning ways at the expense of a Felinheli outfit who are very useful themselves.
This is one not to miss!
