PREMIER DIVISION

Castell Alun Colts 0 Caerwys 1

A first league win of the season for Caerwys was secured by a 31st minute goal from Shane Wellings.

Nathan Large was named player of the match for the visiting side.

FC Queen’s Park 4 Coedpoeth United 0

Four second-half goals clinched the points for champions Queen’s Park, who rise up to third in the Premier.

Joshua Venables, Jake Jones, joint player-manager Mikey Latham and Edgar Teixeira shared the goals for the home team.

Greenfield 2 Penyffordd Lions 2

Ben Hughes salvaged a point for Penyffordd with an equaliser deep into added time.

Hughes had earlier given the Lions an eighth-minute lead, only for Lewis Williams and Ryan Jones (penalty) to edge Greenfield in front before the break.

Lex XI 2 Connah’s Quay Town 4

Kyle Harte, Pascal Gomez and Andy Jones put Connah’s Quay three-up in the first half before Kian Davies pulled one back for the Law close to the interval.

Six minutes into the second half, Finley Dyer cut the deficit to 3-2 and the game was in the balance until a 90th minute penalty from Ryan Hewitt settled it in Town’s favour.

Mynydd Isa 4 Ruabon Rovers 1

Jay Wiles (2), Sam Moffatt and Scott Davies delivered the goals that booked maximum points for Isa, Kyle Evans netting what turned out to be a consolation for bottom side Ruabon.

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Aston Park Rangers 5 Johnstown 2

There was the usual deluge of goals in the Championship, Saturday’s set of six games producing no less than 54 between them.

Johnny Crossley was the star for Aston Park with a hat-trick, Andrew Cook and Lewis Jones also on target, Jason Williams replying with a double for Johnstown.

Bellevue 1 FC Plas Madoc 16

Plas went goal crazy at pointless bottom team Bellevue, Jamie Williams (4), Nicky Williams (3), Ollie Roberts (3), Blake Parry (2), Matthew Onissiphorou, Josh Williams, Harvey Jones and Jordan Dooley splitting the huge haul, Mikey Bagnall replying for the hosts.

Madoc fielded four 16-year-olds with two of them, Blake Parry and Harvey Jones, making the scoresheet.

Brymbo 1 Holywell United 4

Shea Harding (2, 1 pen), Kieran Durkin and Isaac Haimes combined to deliver Holywell victory, Ryan Jones with Brymbo’s sole response.

Overton Recreational 3 Acton 3

Two of the league’s most dynamic net-finders both scored twice in this six-goal thriller.
Samuel Giles (2, 1 pen) and Andrew Bithell put Acton 3-0 up by half time, but Overton rallied in the second period to force a draw, Harry Massey scooping a double, including a 94th minute equaliser, and James Parry adding a single.

Rhydymwyn 10 Skippy 2

Double figures for Rhydymwyn who held a 4-2 lead at half time.

Nathan Williams (2), Connor Davies and Levon Hughes struck for the hosts in the opening stanza, Sean Phelan’s quickfire pair keeping Skippy in the hunt.

However, Rhyd took control after the turnaround, Connor Davies completing a hat-trick with two more goals, Charlie Roberts, Jake Murphy, Paul Hughes and Tom Lynch adding one each for the hosts.

CPD Yr Wyddgrug 2 CPD Gronant 5

While Gronant took the honours, they were full of praise after the game for Yr Wyddgrug’s never-say-die attitude.

Luke Elden and Kallum Pierce both found the net twice in the opening half for the visitors, Shaun Hughes with a home reply.

Hughes made it 4-2 in the second half and Gronant were glad of a Gary Fazackerley goal on 69 minutes to give them breathing space.

RESERVE DIVISION

Caerwys Reserves 4 Connah’s Quay Town Reserves 2

A fourth straight win for Caerwys Reserves sees them lie third in the table.

Jack Smallman, Adam Woosey (2) and Jack Wakeman supplied the home goals, Damon Bradley and Scott Massey for the visitors.

Coedpoeth United Reserves 2 FC Queen’s Park Reserves 5

Champions and current second-place side the Park took the honours at Coedpoeth.

Richard Jones (2, 1 pen), Stephen Rees, Lewis Ellison and Matthew Bithell came up with the away tally, Kevin Breeze and Harry Richardson hitting back for Coedy.

Corwen Reserves 3 Castell Alun Colts Reserves 1

Three good points for a second Corwen side, Benjamin Davies converting two penalties and Scott Evans also on the mark, while Jamie Hardy ensured Casty at least registered on the scoreboard.

Mynydd Isa Reserves 5 Lex Reserves 1

Leaders Mynydd Isa held their place thanks to a convincing home success.

Kobie Betts, George Walshaw Davies, Michael Whales and Harry Lambert (2) all made the scorers’ list for the table-toppers, Joshua Price the sole Lawmen marksman.
