CPD Boded have signed a prolific goalscorer in their bid to progress as a club.
The North Wales Coast West Division One side have brought in the services of Gary Jo Owen to boost their promotion hopes.
A CPD Boded statement said: “Gary brings with him loads of experience. He is very good on the ball and in the air and definitely brings with him a keen eye for goal.
“We are confident that Gary will be a massive part of the team for the rest of the season as he’ll compliment what we already have in the squad and will be big a boost for us as a club as we try to achieve our goals for the season.”
One of the finest goalscorers Ynys Môn has produced in recent years, Owen began the current season at CPD Caergybi and scored in his first game back with the club against – CPD Boded!
The 34-year-old is a two-time winner of the Bob Brodie Trophy which recognises the leading net-finder in senior Anglesey football.
He won the competition in 2013/14, while at Morawelon, after bagging 57 goals and went one better in 2017/18, scoring 58 times for Caergybi.
In other seasons, Gary has been a consistent marksman for the likes of Bodedern Athletic, Gaerwen, Holyhead Town, Trearddur Bay Bulls and Cemaes Bay, notching well over 200 goals in total.
