A second win on the bounce earned Bow Reserves the early leadership of NWCFA Development League East.

Visitors Llanfairfechan made the livelier start, but Bow’s defence stayed strong and then in the eighth minute the home side took the lead.

Ethan Evans ran past two players and slotted a through ball to Kai Paolucci, who made no mistake.

Llanfair were moving the ball well and had a few chances, with Bow’s keeper Lee Sheldon making some great saves and the back-four putting in important tackles.

Half-time: 1-0

Bow started the second half strongly with the front three pressing. This forced a mistake from the away defence, the ball falling to Richard Hill, who chipped through for Charlie Jones to double the lead.

Llanfairfechan went down to 10 men on 57 minutes when Ryan Bourne was red-carded and Bow used that to their advantage.

The hosts made some changes and within a minute of coming on, Rhodri Williams picked up the ball and released Declan Bellamy to make it 3-0.

Llanfairfechan did not give up and had opportunities, but Sheldon made sure he was keeping his clean sheet.

It became 4-0 to Bow when a poor clearance from the keeper fell to Hill, who lobbed home from 40 yards.

Two first-half goals from Lee Fallas were enough to earn Llysfaen maximum points.

Fallas struck on 10 and 32 minutes for the home team, with Cian Urquhart also missing a first half penalty.

Y Glannau never gave in and did pull a consolation goal back through Zak Hughes on 88 minutes, but it was too late to affect the result.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix Development 4 Kinmel Bay Dev 2

Father and son Corey and Mike Lundstram shared the goals as Phoenix made it back-to-back wins.

Corey, just 16 and a product of Pen’s youth system, scored three times, while veteran striker Mike, 40, netted once in a good contest against Kinmel Bay.

The opening goal came on just two minutes, Corey profiting from a Billy Sieben assist.

Four minutes into the second half, Dan Roberts levelled for Bay, but Sieben was there again on 57 to lay on a goal for Mike.

Corey then struck on 58 and 71 to complete a hat-trick before Jacob Jones bagged an injury time consolation second for Kinmel.

Prestatyn Wanderers Reserves 0 NFA Development 10

David McHugh (4), Owen Jones (2), Liam Bowers (2), Foulkes and Robinson shared the goals as NFA hit double figures on their travels.
