In the Nic of time we celebrate Bould’s birthday!

Happy birthday to one of the best goalkeepers in North Wales at tier 4 level and possibly higher – Nic Bould.

The Mochdre Sports shot-stopper is 28 today, having been born on September 7, 1995.

Fellow footballers who share his birthday include Brazil’s Rafinha, Marcel Desailly, formerly of AC Milan and France, and England defender Alex Greenwood.

In his football career, Nic has played for Bangor City, Llysfaen, Llanfairpwll, Caernarfon Town, Mynydd Llandegai and current club Mochdre, who he joined in 2021-22.

Nic also plays cricket for Llanrwst, having previously represented Colwyn Bay.

He is best known for his football goalkeeping skills, though, and has been key in Sports’ fine start to the 2023-24 season.

In the past, he has appeared for both Bangor City and Caernarfon Town in the Welsh Premier.

Like many goalkeepers, Nic has occasionally made headlines for unconventional reasons.

in the 2019-20 season, he did a Jimmy Glass and Peter Schmeichel when he came up for a corner to score a last-gasp equaliser for Mynydd Llandegai against Denbigh Town.

Other career highlights include playing in a tournament aged 16 against a Stoke City academy side and saving FOUR penalties. His brother also scored in normal time.

While most renowned as a tremendous shot-stopper, Nic also prides himself on his ‘often decent kicking’.

He once played alongside former Everton and current Bolton defender Gethin Jones while the pair were at Bangor Academy.

Nic flled a big role in Mochdre Sports finishing third in the North Wales Coast East Premier Division last season and would love to go one step further and win a trophy with the Conwy county club.

Happy birthday Nic! One of the best
