FC Queen’s Park have worked unbelievably quickly behind the scenes to come up with a new management team.
The club is confident these appointments will not only steady the ship but hopefully push them forward to the next level.
Club legends Mikey Latham and Tony ‘Trout’ Jones have agreed to share their playing duties with the running of the first team.
This duo has been complemented by reserve team manager Malcolm Wareham stepping up to form a quality management unit.
Tom Winsper will take control of the reserves.
Latham, 33, has long been a Queen’s Park hero but was never more so than last season when he re joined the club in January and scored 31 goals in 18 appearances, inspiring the team to triple glory in winning the North East Wales Premier Division title, Horace Wynne Cup and Mike Beech Memorial Trophy treble.
Evergreen club great Jones, 39, is arguably the Park’s best known player of all time, having won virtually everything there is to win with the club.
His free-kicks and long range shooting is the stuff of folklore.
The new management team replace Dave Evans, who stood down earlier today after four magnificent seasons in charge.
