TUESDAY REPORTS – AUGUST 29

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE

PREMIER DIVISION

Abergele 3 CPD Bro Cernyw 4

Jack Hoult’s hat-trick failed to save Abergele from a home defeat at the hands of Bro Cernyw.

Hoult struck on 32, 42 and 79 minutes, but Cernyw had led 2-0 within the first 10 through goals from Cai Price and Robin Hughes, with Gethin Vaughan’s net-finder and a Dom Holland OG ensuring a winning total for the visitors.

Kinmel Bay 2 Meliden 4

Revenge for Meliden over a Kinmel Bay side which had knocked them out of the Welsh Cup at the start of the season.

Will Davidson, Ashley Lally and a double from Macauley Ross, who also missed a late penalty, saw the visitors to victory, Ollie Gray and Lewis Docherty replying for Bay, who had Anthony Jones sent off after 77 minutes for a second yellow card.

CPD Llansannan 3 Llandyrnog United 2

Hat-trick hero Gruffudd Roberts struck on 45, 47 and 82 minutes to make sure Llansannan won a close battle.

Joel Rowlands hit back with a double for Llandyrnog, whose striker David Lawson-Cooke missed an early spot-kick.

Llandyrnog’s Sean James had to be taken to hospital after suffering a nasty injury in the 12th minute. Both clubs wish him a speedy recovery.

Penmaemmawr Phoenix 1 Llandudno Junction 1

All-square at Cae Sling, where Mezz Knight handed Phoenix a seventh-minute lead before Jack Nettleton stung the hosts by levelling on 45.

Pen’s Logan Williams was sent off for a second yellow on 76 minutes.

Rhuddlan Town 2 NFA 8

Leaders NFA made it four wins on the bounce, Matty Rees hitting a hat-trick and top-scorer Antonio Jacovelli a pair to make it nine goals in seven games.

Chris Durkin, Jay Whitehouse and Paul Brady added one each for the visitors, Andy Booker (penalty) and Isaac Hall with consolations for Rhuddlan.

DIVISION ONE

Penrhyn Bay 5 Glan Conwy 1

Jack Kelbrick (2), Jay Sutton, Aaron Gregson and man of the match Ben Kelbrick shared the goals in this win for a vastly improved Penrhyn Bay outfit.

Glan Conwy, who had Joseph Welsh and player-manager Nathan Watson red-carded, managed a consolation goal through Howard Vaughan.

NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE

PREMIER DIVISION

CPD Aberffraw 0 Trearddur Bay 6

Asa Thomas and Jay Gibbs netted two goals apiece as Trearddur Bay went top of the Premier Division on goal difference with a third win in as many games.

Thomas scored after 11 and 63 minutes, but missed out on yet another career hat-trick when he failed from the penalty spot late on.

Gibbs found the net on 42 and 44 minutes, while Justin Williams and Mel McGinness added single goals for the visitors.
