Bangor University offers a great sporting deal

Are you a sporting type considering what university to apply for this summer?
How about a uni in beautiful North Wales with a brilliant track record in sports which offers students a winning deal?
Bangor is one of only two universities in the UK that offer sports team participation for free.
Elsewhere, students would need to pay up to about £100-£150 to join a sports club.
Football-wise, as well as competing in the good standard BUCS Northern League, Bangor also play in an annual Varsity fixture against Aberystwyth which in itself draws in a crowd of 2000 plus, so it’s quite a big experience.
The teams train on Treborth Playing Fields and play home matches at Nantporth Stadium.
Clark Thomas is the men’s team captain for the 2023-24 season.
He said: “We compete in Aldi Men’s Northern tier 4 and 5, and previously, our second team went undefeated in division 6 in 2017/2018, but since then, and with Covid, we haven’t been able to gain promotion, which we’re hoping we change this season.
“We have produced top talents such as ex-Bodedern Athletic stars Aidan Clark and James McMinimee, recently Dion Evans who competed for Anglesey in the Island Games, and currently Tom McMorine and Dylan Walton-Pratt, who have both this season been signed by Holyhead Hotspur.”
