A great win for the Originals over the leaders kept the Llandudno side’s title hopes on the boil.

Put into bat, Originals scored 115-5 off their 16 allotted overs, Amelia Andrew and Claire Freeman both making 14, Hannah Thornton 13 and Laura Lambe 12 (once out – net 7).

Bay wickets were split between Hannah Kennedy, Kerry Roberts, Sue Wolfendale, Julie Russell and Jane Smith.

In reply, the Bay could only muster 79-4, Kennedy by far the best contributor with 27 (once out – net 22), Thornton gathering 2-9 and Sophie Deering also taking a wicket for Tudno, who were victorious by 31 runs.

Put into bat at The Oval, Bethesda were bowled out for 63, only Bethan Briggs (10) making double figures.

Sue Wolfendale was Bay’s top bowler, taking 3-12, Jane Smith bagged 2-9 and there was a victim each for Hannah Kennedy, Sammy Sherrington, Amy Kennedy and Kerry Roberts.

Bay hit back with 100-4 to clinch a 67-run triumph.

Jane Smith led the way with 18, Sherrington and Hannah Kennedy both making 11 for once out to make it a net 6 apiece. Rachael Simmons struck 7.

Ellie Creek notched 2-9 for the Ogwen Valley side.
