DIVISION ONE

Menai Bridge 2nd XI (2) 83-10 Hawarden Park (13) 154-9

Just the one match to survive the Saturday weather in the North Wales League saw Hawarden Park take advantage of inactivity elsewhere to move up to second in Division One with a 71-run victory at Menai Bridge seconds.

The contest was reduced to 30 overs per side because of the rain and after being put into bat, Hawarden posted 154-9.

Skipper Campbell Marr made 29, sharing in an opening stand of 68 with Phil Bradfield (27), while Chris Geary added 26.

Extras actually top-scored for the visitors, totalling 34.

Dion Owen picked up 5-26 off six for the hosts, Iwan Moore scooping 2-20.

In reply, the Anglesey side were dismissed for 84, Sam Bixby standing out with a determined 50, while for Park, Ian Martin claimed 3-18, Adam De Rycke 2-12 and James Martin 2-15.
